I was standing there, on the cliff, ready to jump into the salty water.
I always wondered why people like the salty water so much. I always wondered, what gave them so much joy.
I always felt jealous of those who enjoyed just dipping their legs in the cool water.
Truthfully, nothing in it gives me joy. It is just salty water, period.
I prepared myself to jump. I said a fake goodbye to the non existing people and bent my legs, ready to jump off...
That's when arms wrapped around me and pulled me away from the edge.
That is when I saw you... You were right there, bending over me, checking if I had any bruise marks...
I told you I was fine, but you had to make sure I was okay....
You don't know how much happiness that single gesture gave me.
For the first time in many, many years, I felt loved. I felt cared about.
Today was supposed to be to the day I died....
But today became the day I was saved, by you.
Thank You!
