Catherine smith and Jack Blakes are high school lovers. They have been living in the same hood ever since they were young. They were neighbours. They went to the same school and after high school, none of them was able to study further due to family finances. But that didn't matter for Jack because he believed that there were other ways of making money in order to live. Jack lived alone, his parents were always away, out of the countr. God knows doing what. All his life he was alone.
As for Catherine.. she lived with her parents, both of them. Her father was an abusive man. He also was a drunkard. After the days of the saying goodbye to high school Jack got a job and he was grateful for it. Even if it meant that he was going to work 13 hours every day or work all night. He was employed as a bartender.
Catherine's mom was a spiritual woman. She didn't like all that her husband did, but she had no choice because he was the one paying the bills and buying them food.
Catherine was sent every night to buy beers. With no care if it was safe or not.
One night it was raining she went to the liquor store and bought two beers. She always saw Jack there but strange thing they never said a word to each other.
On her way home as she was running she was missed a step and slipped as she fell into the mud. The moment she got up she realised the she had broken both of the beer bottles. She felt pains but that was her last worry. She was worried about her father and what he would do to her.
With all that happening Jack was right behind her. The moment Catherine fell ,Jack had hidden himself behind the trees. He did that because he knew that Catherine thought no one saw her and if she knew that someone saw her she was gonna feel embarrassed.
When Catherine stood there hopeless and with no ideas.. Jack appeared and offered to Catherine to buy her another two beers. She hesitated because she thought Jack would want something in return. Jack insisted.
That's how Jack saved Catherine's butt from getting weeped.

Catherine's POV
She is the the most special thing that has ever happened to me.
I will raise her the way I wanted to be raised. I will make her my first priority. At least now I have something to live for.
"Baby ..How is she, can I hold her?" Jack said with a big smile on his face. We both love what God has given us.
"Yeah you can hold her love. She would love to be in her daddy's arms." I said giving him his daughter.
"She is soo tiny."He said feeling joy and blessings inside.
"We haven't name her."
"Lets name her after your mom" He said
"My mother?" I asked with disbelief.
"She was a good woman Cat.. and she was would've loved to hear that we have named her granddaughter after her." he said holding my hand.
"Maybe you right. Now she is our little Amanda" I said giving a grin.
"I know you will make the best mother." he said giving me a cheek kiss.
"Thank you love." I looked at Amanda and felt the joy in my heart.
You will be my first priority and I want you to know that everything I do I will do it for you.
I will never let anything happen to you. You are my little angel and mommy will always protect you.
