-Thomas

I loved ordering the others around so it wasn't that much of a deal for me to do exactly that when we were under attack. My strict and clear instructions made my team the first one to finish -even before Kayden dismissed his. We passed doc and Arno on our way to the cars and I looked at the two boys. They were hugging and I saw a few tears running down Arno's cheek.

"You okay?" I said as I placed my body against the doorframe and crossed my arms.

"Y-yes!" The doc shifted uncomfortably and pushed Arno gently, "He's just overwhelmed and needed some comfort."

Arno wiped his face with his sleeve and gulped. "Yeah, we were getting ready to join everyone..."

Arno's eyes trailed back to the ginger headed male next to him and I narrowed my eyes. Our doc -his real name was Edgar, but we all called him doc or Ed- was the quite type and I didn't mind it that much. I often looked for him if I wanted to be left alone because he would listen if I needed him to, but he knew that I didn't expect him to reply. Arno was the complete opposite. The blond was loud and way too energetic, but when push came to shove, he was a coward and hid behind Ed's back.

"Which car?" I asked, not moving from the door opening.

"Huh?" Ed's head jerked up and he looked at me in confusion.

"Which car are you guys riding in? We did manage to carjack an ambulance, so I guess you're riding in that one, but what about Arno? Is he coming with you?"

"He's..." The ginger looked at the younger blond boy and slowly nodded his head.

"'Kay." I flashed them a smile. "Follow me, I'll get you guys in that lovely vehicle."

I heard them follow me as I walked to the garage and a my smile turned into a smug one. Sure, I knew that Ed and Arno weren't liked by most of the members and I'll probably would hear it from the others when they caught me, but that wasn't really a concern. Something in the two boys reminded me of how I was with my best friend -Jeremy.

I haven't seen him since Darce kicked me out of the bed and we started running from all the madness... Which is good, I think. That means that there a chance that he's still alive somewhere. Darcy would be thrilled if we were to find him. She did have a crush on him after all.

We didn't go straight to the cars even though that was my plan. We heard a few weird noises from the kitchen, so I apologized to the two lads behind me and went to check it out -while they followed my every move. We found a few of our probably soon to be ex-teammates eating our food and gulping the drinks down. When we busted them, they tried to escape but it was hopeless. If you touched my food, I would never forgive you.

"You guys know that we have to survive on this, right?!" I snapped at them and pushed them down against the wall. One of them hit their head and whimpered.

"Thomas, I don't think that violence is-"

"Keep quiet nerd." I growled while my eyes stayed focussed on the filthy thieves, "What's your excuse? Not like I'll believe them, but I'll give you a shot."

"We... We were hungry." One of them said and shrugged, "It ain't an excuse, but yeah... I figured we could as well spit out the truth and get our ass kicked. It's faster like this."

The one next to him seemed to disagree though. He furiously shook his head and glared at the other two. "You forced me!"

"We... We what?" The first one raised his eyebrow and looked genuinely confused.

"You told me I had to do it or you'd throw me out of the riding car as a snack for the zombies!" He nodded to himself now, but it almost looked like he had to convince himself that he sounded trustworthy.

I sighed and crunched down, leveling my eyes with the first boy. "What's your name?"

"Jacob." He said, still confused about everything, "And next to me is Charles... And the confusing jerk here was one of our friends, Gergely."

"'Aight. If I catch you eating my food again, you're dead, understood?" The boys nodded and I glanced over at Gergely. "And don't try to linch your friends, dude. Or I'll kick you out of a car for real. It's okay if they still want ya in their team, but if they don't... Well you'll be a little present for our infected friends when they get here."

I scratched the back of my head and stood back up. The confused guys followed my lead and I grinned. "Now, let the doc check you. I pushed you guys a bit too hard. Don't tell Kayden about this though, he would snap and leave yo for real. This is between us now."

The guys quickly nodded and ran over to Edgar. Arno didn't look happy when Charles winked at doc and I grinned. I was fully aware that Arno had strong feelings for the man before him -strong than friendship at least. It was painfully obvious when I saw them in the White Room. Arno had his arms wrapped around the older male's neck and their bodies were so relaxed, yet some part was tense. I knew that it was sadistic to know all that and still interrupt and tease them, but there wasn't anything wrong with being like that in my mind.

"Right, that's enough. We need to get going." I announced and started walking again, this time planning to reach the cars in one go.

"Yeah, we don't have time to waste. They don't seem hurt, so don't snitch our time and our food in one day." Arno huffed and walked out of the room.

I'm starting to like this guy. I smiled and went after him.
