New Friends

I woke up with the sound of birds chirping, and the smell of my mom cooking breakfast downstairs. I thought about yesterday, and a smile crept onto my face. It faded when I remembered where I had to go tonight. A "One Direction" concert.

I drug my feet along the ground as I walked downstairs and sat on the kitchen counter.

"Goodmorning sweetie" My mom said as she flipped a pancake.

"Morin" I attempted to say as I yawned. My mom laughed, and then waved her hand for me to get off the counter.

"Are you excited about the concert tonight?" She asked placing the food in front of me, as I sat.

"Ecstatic." I replied sarcastically. My mom laughed then kissed me on my forehead before going upstairs, and getting ready for work.

As I finished my food, I thought about the concert. 'It can't be that bad' I said to myself. I mean sure, they're not the best band in the world, but they aren't exactly horrible either. I was talking to Lydia about them yesterday, and she told me their story; and how they were on x-factor, but came in third. She had showed me some pictures of them. They were alright looking, but one of them, -I believe his name is liam- is really cute.

As I thought about the concert, I thought that I would call Lydia and see if she wanted to go shopping before the concert tonight.

"Hello?" She asked through the phone

"Hey, do you wanna go shopping so I can get a new outfit for tonight?" I said as I put her on speaker and started brushing my hair.

"OH MY GOD!!" she screamed

"What the hell? What?!" I said laughing

"You're excited aren't you?" She said. I could just see the derp face she would have made if I was there.

"Im not gonna lie, I actually kind of am.." I regret saying that as she screamed

"I KNEW IT!!!!!!! KELSEY YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS!"

"why does she owe you 20 dollars?" I questioned pulling my hair back into a ponytail

"Because... I said that you would be excited, and she said 'not a chance', and since you're excited, I get 20 bucks, so thank you." she replied

"Alright, i'll pick you up in 10 minutes. okay?" I asked slipping on my flipflops

"Okie Dokie. Cyaaaa!"

I hung up the phone, and headed down the stairs, and out to my car. As I was driving, I was thinking about Jordan again. I forgot that It was Saturday, which meant he worked today. 'Shit' I said to myself. I really hope Lydia doesn't ask me about Jordan, because if she found out what happened yesterday, she would flip.

"You should get that outfit! It makes your boobs look huge!" Lydia shreeks loudly. I look around at the people staring, and then give her a look. "Thanks" I replied laughing. "No prob- OH MY FREAKING GOD!!" She screams. "Shut Up!" someone screams back at her. She turns around a gives them the finger, and I just laugh in amusement. "Why did you scream?" I questioned. She turned around to me with a shocked face. "Earth to Lydia.. Hello?" I waved my hand in front of her face. "Look.Over.At.The.Freaking.Food.Court." she said slowly In a hushed tone.

I slowly turned around, and saw five boys sitting at a table. I was trying to think of where I saw them before- ONE DIRECTION.

"That's one direction." I said "DUH!" she said pushing me into the dressing room. "Take those clothes off, pay for them, and then meet me at the food court. I'm gonna go get myself a boyfriend." She says flipping her hair and walking away towards the table. I put my hands in a praying position, and said" Dear god, Please don't let her embarrass herself." Then I went to pay for the clothes.
