the intercom sputtered to life. 'Students and teachers please stay calm and do not panic. You need to prepare your room for invasion and try to protect your students.'
My teacher panicked, she started barking out orders. 'Place the tables in front of the door, throw chairs and blockades must be made. Someone turn out the lights. Everyone in this corner, now.' We followed her instructions and hid behind her desk the only thing that wasn't blocking the door. There were screams and shots echoed all around the room. Then everything went silent all I could hear were the breathing of the people around me.
Then a scream cut through the air, slicing the silence in half. I looked over at Jo, she learned towards me and whispered.
"Were's Chris?" I hadn't noticed before than that he wasn't there with us.
"I'm Sure he's fine." I tried to keep calm but my voice crack. She looked at me trying to fight back tears she says.
"Was he in the room when the intercom went off?" Shit! He had gone to the bathroom before the announcement. Shit! Shit! Shit!
"He, he......well. I think he went to the bathroom.... but i could be wrong!" She began to cry. "Hey, he'll be fine." i said rubbing her back trying to calm her.
*Five-minutes later
There was a rattling at the door.
