It was a lovely afternoon. Only it wasn't so lovely. A big ball of fluff rolled out of a forest. He landed with a crash on rough gravel. "Owww", he said as he got up, shaking his furry body. "That sure hurt...hey, where's my axe?!" Some of the big nosed villagers opened their doors. The town mayor walked up to the beast. "Who are you? Where do you come from?" The fluffy beast shook his head a bit and looked up at the mayor, who was much taller than him. "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to come crashing in! My name is Jerome, and I'm a loner.", the beast replied. The village librarian walked up next to the mayor. "Ah yes, a bacca! A very intelligent one it seems. This one's special. Mayor, could we let him stay?" The mayor thought a bit. "You know what Jacob, that's a very good idea. What do you say, Jerome?" Jerome shook his head. "Oh no, I couldn't possibly! However...have any of you guys seen an axe? It's made out of gold, and it's very important to me." The blacksmith came up behind Jerome, holding a bent, rusty and very beat up gold axe. "You mean this thing? I found a lion chewing it." Jerome turned around and gasped. "Noooooo! My precious Skylar!" The blacksmith chuckled. "With a bit of work, I could fix Skylar. However, it was enchanted and I can't fix that. You would need to ask Jamie the priest, he's the only one that can enchant things in this village. He's on vacation in Italy though." Jerome frowned. "Well, I ain't flying to Italy. However, it's getting dark. Is there an inn I could stay in for the night? Also, could you fix Skylar tonight, blacksmith? I plan on leaving tomorrow." The blacksmith smirked. "Leave it to me, kiddo. Why don't you head over to Inn Owner Martin's inn? It's pretty comfy!" Jerome smiled as he skipped over to the inn. "Thanks blacksmith!" Jerome entered the inn grinning like a crazy bacca. A man looked up from the front desk. "Oh, hello there! You must be Jerome! I could here all the commotion out there. My name is Martin. Since you look pretty nasty, I'll let you rent a room for free. In fact, there's no one in this inn since we barely have visitors in this village and all the villagers have a house. Feel free to use all the space!" Jerome's eyes widened. "Wow, thank you so much, Mr. Martin!", as he walked to a room.
