Hermione and Ron's Wedding Part One

Getting Ready

Ron took a deep breath.

He faced his reflection in the mirror, and decided his hair was good enough.

"Ron, there you are," Harry said, coming into the room.

"Cool, your suit fits," he said, glancing over his shoulder.

"So does yours," Harry replied.

Ron was nervous. Very nervous.

What if Hermione decided she didn't want to marry Ron?

"Hey, Harry?"

"Yeah?"

Ron hesitated before asking,

"Have you seen Hermione yet?"

"Yeah, just did."

Ron swallowed.

"Is she--is she planning on--on staying?"

Harry stared at Ron, and then started laughing.

"What?" Ron demanded.

"Nothing, she just asked me the same question about you." Harry grinned.

"Why wouldn't I stay?" Ron said.

"Then why wouldn't she?" Harry replied.

Ron smiled gratefully.

"Thanks, Harry." he said.

"No problem. Can you remember the first time you and Hermione met?" Harry asked.

"She told me I had dirt on my nose, didn't she?" Ron laughed.

"In her defense, there was dirt on your nose." Harry replied.

"Let's go check out the venue, see if it's set up." Ron suggested, and they went outside.

Even though they were both guys, they could still appreciate the charm and magic of the space.

It was outside, but it was the perfect temperature for late April.

It was beautiful, a small clearing in the middle of a rainforest-type garden. There was a small pool in the middle, almost like an aisle. Chiffon curtains hung down like a ceiling, decorated with flowers, and lights.

"Nice job, Hermione," Ron murmured.

"Actually, it was me," a dreamy voice came up behind them.

"Luna? Wow," Harry complimented her.

"Thanks," Luna smiled. Her dress was casual and fun, a light blue spaghetti-strapped knee-length dress.

"Is it time?" Ron asked.

Luna nodded.

"Let's get you married!" Harry said, clapping his best friend on the shoulder.
