the pack was still surrownding them, there eyes getting redder and redder as they got more angry. they were trotting like goats round them in a huge circle getting closer and choser together. their mouths started druling at the sight of maybe another meal.

"looks like this is the end" said Harry. they stood there looking at the pack of twelve hungry dogs.

there was a rustle from a bush near them, the dogs backed off and made a half circle, leaving the bush right in the middle of the broken off half, they wanted to make a run for it but then couldn't because as they went to run for it they were stopped by a huge dog. it clared down on them like they were ants, it was just like the other dogs but it was almost five times bigger.

** Allison's P.O.V**

I looked strait into it's eyes. it looked as if it was going to eat us in one big mouth-full. we stood there thinging of what to do, it looked inpossible to get out now.

we stood there looking into it's long black fur for about five minutes before it took a small step foward and we choose to make a sprint thought it's legs, it turned around and started chasing us, we ren to where John and Roger were stood, they were writing something up on a peice of paper, he picked it up and ran along side us.

"what's on the peice of paper." i asked Roger, i was struggling to breath.

"i'll show you once we loose thease dogs." he panted back to me.

we carred on running till we reach the cave entrance, we climed up the side of the rockey cave, hopeing then wouldn't see us. we were in luck, they ran strate into the cave without seeing us at all, we shimmed down from the perch, we were all covered in little black pices of rock and stone.

"so what was on that piece of paper?" i asked Roger.

"i will show you when we get back to the beach." Roger said back, it must have been inportant.

we slowly walked back to the beach, the running had taken most of the energy out of us and we hadn't eaten for days.

it took us half an hour to reach the beach, we dropped to the floor, we really didn't have much energy left. we all got back to our feet but were struggling the breath.

"do you still want to see the piece of paper." said Roger, we was really struggling to breath so we told him to sit down for ten minutes and calm down. he was shakeing like a lost child in a shop. his lips turned blue and his eyes had gone red, his eyelids slowly closed and he had stopped breathing conpletly.

"NO, STAY WITH US ROGER." i yelled into his ear, but it was too late, Roger had died.

we sat there around him for about ten minutes crying. even John had started crying, and he never crys.

"he was like a best friend." he shouted, we came around him and tryed to make him feel better.

"well, it's just us four then." Harry said.

"do you thing we should read that note?" i asked John.

"erm i not sure, well he did want to show it to us." he replyed. he grabbed the note from his back pocket and read it out.

"on the twenty-second, we will escape.

the tide will be full on this day, so we will be able to build a raft, i'm not sure how we will build it but i know a good place where we can get some supplys to build it from. over near the fruit trees there is a huge pile of wood that would work quite well for a raft. the high tide will help so we wont got court on the bed when we set off, i don't know where we will be heading towards because i don't know where this island is.

"that's is a really good plan, ashame he isn't hear to hear what we think about it." said Harry.

We went off with a shovel to dig a grave for Roger, he deserve to not be another meal for the vultures. once we had done that we found a good pinetree to sit under and descuss the plan.
