Stepbrothers // N.G //

Chapter Two

Driving from Ohio to North Carolina took beyond infinity, in reality it was eight hours.

After several leg cramps, service station stops and my dad singing professionally ( note the sarcasm ) along to the ' classics ' we have arrived in front of a large house or in other words a mansion.

Looks like I will be able to have some peace and quite after all

To be honest I thought their house would of been a lot smaller but im glad its not this place looks awesome ! well at least from the outside.

Dad and I get out the car taking in our surroundings.

This area definitely looks up market, houses are spaced out and all have enormous houses and the street looks quite peaceful and quite, looks like no shoot outs will happen here.... damn I was hoping for some entertainment.

"Come on Kiddo we should head inside, you need to meet your siblings, this is our new home " Dad says smiling.

We walk up to the front doors and dad pushes the doorbell. After a few moment of me shuffling my feet and playing with my fingers the door open to reveal and ecstatic looking Liz.

" Come on right in, ill call the kids down in a minute but before they do I want you to get settled in your room is up the stairs to the right five doors down and if you ever want privacy when changing and showering lock your door we have some cheeky buggers in this house " Liz says chuckling.

I mumble a quick thanks and I walk up the stairs and turn right, was it four or five doors down? Ill just open both and I will find out when I get there.

Door four....... I stop outside door four and grasp the door handle, I turn the knob and open the door to reveal

A naked guy with his back facing me.

he sure does have a cute set of buns

" what ?" the guy mumbles and turns around and screams at the top of his lungs like a preschooler seeing a spider which causes me to scream, he grabs a white towel to cover himself.

I take the chance to examine his features, he has wet brown hair sticking to his forehead, piercing bright blue eyes sending me a questioning glare , fair skin  and soft looking pink lips that are slightly parted.

The guy pulls me out of admiring his complexion by saying.

" Who the hell are you? "He asks raising an eyebrow, his hands still grasping the towel in front of him.

" Jade "I reply with my cheeks turning crimson, for perspicuous reasons.

" What the hell is going on here? " Liz barges in.

" I see you two have gotten acquainted already" she says bursting into a fit of giggles, yes giggles!

At least I got some entertainment that the suburb was lacking I thought to myself smirking at the thought.

since I didn't get that guys name im going to name him ........... Buns, cause hes got a cute set!!

" Well I will show you your room now Jade " Liz says to me ushering me out the room and into the room next door. The room is a light blue colour with a creme floors, a king bed in the center of the room with a grey duvet and white pillows. There is an empty bookcase on the right of the door, a wall mounted TV on the left as you walk on and a white desk on the far left wall. I walk further into the room to discover another door on the right which leads to a walk in wardrobe.

" This is amazing Liz, thank you " I say as I go up to hug her.

we pull away from the hug and Liz says " well I will leave you to get settled in, dinner will be in an hour so I will come get you when its time " and with that Liz walks out the room for me to unpack.

Looking around the room I am quite pleased with myself. unpacking is a lot better than packing everything into boxes and cleaning out cupboards.

My Mac Book is set up on the desk and I placed pictures of me with mum and dad around the room. My clothes were all hung up in the walk in rode but I would need a tonne more clothes to fill the Wardrobe. My books have found a home on the empty bookshelf and there was extra room so my deodorants and perfumes can live there too.

Unfortunately I have no ensuit so I will have to find a bathroom later to put my toiletries in.

As I finish the final touches there is a knock on the door.

" Come in " I yell louder enough for the person outside to say.

" The door is locked " a voice of what sounds like ...... a teenage boy says.

I walk up to the door and put my ear up against it.

"How do I know you aren't planning to kill me or something ?" I question.

Come on its better to be safe in an unknown environment than to let strangers into your room, after all this is supposed to be my safe haven.

The guy outside the door starts laughing, im going to call him the Joker  because of hes laughing for no reason.

" My names Hayes, does that ring a bell?" Joker says

" No..... Is it supposed to " I say furrowing my eyebrows

" I'm going to be your stepbrother " He states.

" Oh yeah that's right, whoops " I say giggling while unlocking the door to be met with a younger looking version of Buns, they must be brothers!

" You must be Buns brother right ?" I say

" Buns? who the hell is that? Wait do you mean Nash ?" He questions.

" I don't know what his name was so I called him Buns " I simply say

" Wait why Buns ?"

" Cause he has a nice set of buns, Shit !" I slap my hand over my mouth, my cheeks are now as red as a beetroot.

Hayes bursts out laughing, like full on rolling on the ground ab hurting, tear making laughs. If I didn't know any better I would think hes having a seizure, Yep definitely a Joker.

" Looks like your are settling in just fine Jade, its time for dinner " Liz says smiling at Hayes who is calming down after his episode.

On the table there is a mouthwatering looking roast chicken with sweet pea, corn on a cob, Brussel sprouts and gravy.

Liz, Hayes and I all walk into the dining room where I see Bu-Nash and dad already sitting at the table chatting. I slip into the spare chair next to Hayes, Nash is directly across from me and dad diagonal from me which is next to a little girl and finally with Liz next to Hayes.

" Jade this is Skylynn and Sky this is going to be your new sister " Liz says smiling obviously excited that Sky will have an older sister.

Sky sends me a small smile and she digs into her food

We all dig in and the conversation naturally flows especially after my introduction to Hayes and Nash.

After dinner I head upstairs exhausted after the long day, I walk to my room remembering its five doors not four.

I get changed into my pink fluffy pajama shorts and a grey shirt and i slip into bed falling asleep in a matter of minutes.
