Chapter Eight

I sat inside of Kofuku's shrine, sitting next to Yukine and helping him study. "Yukine, you're suppose to divide fourteen by two, not multiply it." I told him. Soon we heard foot steps and saw Yato enter the shrine with a young boy that had brown hair and a girl with snow white hair. "Who are they?" Yukine asked, standing up. I kept my eyes trained on the paper, not looking Yato in the eye. "This is Kai Tatsuya, and Kasumi the Goddess of Ice, she's called the Goddess of Ice but she's really the Goddess of Winter." Yato said, soon I glanced over to see Hiyori enter the room from the kitchen where she had been with Kofuku and Dokoku. She froze, pink eyes trained on the boy. I looked back and fourth between them. The boy's blue eyes widened. "Hiyori?"
"Kai?" She said. They both sounded shocked. "What are you doing here?" He asked, surprised. "Uh, this is where I usually am after school-- but that's not the point why are you here? Why are you with Yato and... whoever that is?" Hiyori asked, and walked around, standing two feet from him. "Uh... I died in a way and Mr Yato said that he could help me since he's dealing with someone who's already like this..." Kai trailed off as his body collapsed to the ground but he still stood there. With a blue cord. I stood up immediately beside Yukine, looking at the boy. "Yato, what did you do this time?" Hiyori asked, sighing. "Wha- I didn't do--" he started.
"He didn't do anything the boy was found by me, body and spirit in a grassy field." Kasumi said, watching Hiyori. "What did he mean by he had someone like me?"He asked. Hiyori sighed and suddenly her body was on the ground and she had her pink cord. "That's what he means!" Hiyori yelled and started freaking out. "Yato! You said you were going to fix this like a year ago!!" Hiyori yelled. "I-I'm getting to it okay?" He said calmly. "Thars what you always say!" She argued.
I sighed. "I'm going on a walk." I said blankly and walked out, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

[ Yato's POV ]

"I'm going on a walk." Yui said and got up, walking out the door without saying another word. She surprised me yesterday when she told me that she loved me... and kissed me..
I hadn't been able to tell her how I felt in forever. Then something struck me in the back of my neck, causing me to hold my hand up and rub it. Something was wrong. "Yato?" Yukine questioned. He'd noticed. "I think something's happened to Yui." I said and Yukine walked over to me, us completely ignoring everyone else in the room. (A/N Hmm... That's strange they're both ignoring them all...) "Could it be--"
"Jayce." I said. Jayce told me that he would stop at nothing to make Yui his Regalia. "Uhm, earth to Yato God?" I turned and saw Kasumi staring into my soul. I let out a nervous laugh before clearing my throat and looked at everyone else. "Yatty is something wrong~?" Kofuku asked. Standing beside Dokoku. "Yukine and I have some business to take care of." I said, half lying. Yukine nodded, agreeing with the lie so it put pain in my neck but I didn't even flinch.
"Kasumi, I need you to co-"
"Can't. I left my Regalia, Sakura back at Tojen 's shrine." She said and grabbed the body of Kai over her shoulder as the boy followed her out.
"Come on Yukine." I said, rushing out the door.

[ Yui's POV ]

It hadn't been long before I reached the lake, and it hadn't been long since I noticed Jayce and Azulia. "Yui.." I heard Jayce whisper and glanced over, thinking something a bit rude which possibly blighted Yato. I looked at both of them. Azulia had a smirk, smeared across her face and Jayce smiled widely and mischeiviously. "W-what are you doing here?" I asked shivering. "Reasons."
'Why does everyone say that..' I thought to myself and watched him carefully. "Come, Sekki!" I heard a voice call off and my gaze strayed and I turned back to see a giant orb of water flying at me. I quickly jumped out of the way just in time and glance back towards him to see Yato standing in front of me now. His blue eyes trained on Jayce and Azulia. "Rekkai." Jayce said, holding out his hand and she gave a curt nod, turning into a double-edged blade. "Yui, stand back Yukine and I can manage." Yato said, not even looking at me. I sat there still until I snapped out of my thoughts, standing and backed up, feeling helpless. Jayce dashed forward, and slammed the blade forward but Yato blocked the huge blade easily with Yukine and they both fought, swords clashing as they jumped back and fourth dodging blows and taking blows.
Yato finally managed to knock his sword away and hold him down but didn't dare kill the god.
Then I felt an arm curve around my front shoulders and saw a blade at my neck. I let out loud yelp because the tug around my shoulders was sudden and tight. The blade that was being held at my neck felt cold, but different. It was a Regalia. I could barely see purple hair from the corner if my eye and then I realized Yato was looking at me. "Yui!" He called and when Jayce said something, Yato stomped on his hand so his Regalia couldn't reach it, I could hear a crack even from here. "Glist." Jayce rasped and his Regalia appeared. Yato got to his feet pulling Jayce with him and held a blade to his neck.
"Let go of him or ill slit her throat." The women behind me spoke with ease, she sounded like she didn't even care what happened to Jayce. "I think it's the other way around, Mitskune." Yato said jokingly, throwing out a smile. How can he joke about stuff at a time like this?
"Mitskune. Just let the girl go she's more important than Jayce. She can be used to our advantage. I want her alive." Another voice spoke behind me and stepped into veiw, looking closely at me. He was wearing a mask which made his voice deeper and her wore a black and dark gray komono. ""But Sir, the moment I let her go she would run back to that God's side." Mitskune complained. "Then keep your knife throwing skills sharp." The man said. "Yui, don't run" Yato said. I looked at him through green eyes and nodded. Mitskune soon removed the knife from my neck and let me go but I just stood there and turned back to look at her. She had crimson red eyes and a light, lady like face structure. She wore tight leather pants and a black short sleeved shirt. She also had a dark-ish hair color that made me feel threatened some how. Maybe it was something from when I was alive.
I glanced back at Yato who was being held back by two men, Yukine's blade was being held until he turned back to his regular blonde self just to be held back once again. "What are you doing let them go!" I yelled.
"Ill answer in one word little girl." She said. "No." And then soon I she took her dagger and slammed the handle into my head, causing darkness to immediately consume my vision as fell to the hard, and cold ground.
