"Hey Dakota!"
Dakota quickly shot up from his seat. He had fallen asleep on his lunch break once again. He quickly looked behind him to see who had called his name. Standing right behind him was fellow co-worker Chase Morgan. Chase had been working at the desk right next to Dakota since day one.
"Oh, hey Chase." Dakota said. A yawn escaped his lips as he greeted his friend.
"Dude, this is the third time this week that I have caught you sleeping through your lunch break. And it's only Wednesday!" Chase exclaimed sitting down in the chair next to Dakota. "Now I know that you don't go out and party whatsoever, so what keeps you up at night?"
"I know this is going to sound really weird, but I have been having this really strange dream for the past few years. For some reason it has become a lot more frequent lately." Dakota said with a sigh. He rubbed his hands down his face to try and get rid of his tiredness.
"Must be some dream if it's been keeping you awake. I thought you slept like a rock." Chase laughed, slapping Dakota on his back causing him to let out a grunt.
"You have no idea." Dakota said looking down at the table. His hands started to pull at his hair.
"Hey, my sister's husband does this thing where he sits down and talks to people about dreams that are bothering them. He gives some really good advice. I talked to him about one dream and after taking his advice I figured out what it really meant." Chase said in a serious tone. Dakota gave his friend a confused look. For the past four years that Dakota has known Chase, he has never known the guy to be serious ever. Chase let our a laugh at Dakota's face, knowing exactly what he was thinking. "Now don't give me that look. I know that I am usually not a serious person, but I really think that you should look into it."
"You are probably right. Not sleeping is not healthy at all." Dakota said with another sigh.
"If you want I can give you his phone number after break so you can call and schedule an appointment." Chase said taking a huge bite out of his sandwich
"Sure." Dakota said simply. "Thanks dude."
"No problem. It's what friends do." Chase said with a smile.
Dakota just shook his head. Taking a sip out of his coke can his mind started to wonder if this was the right thing. Dragging someone else into a world that he knew nothing about. The only thing he knew for sure was that he needed answers and he was willing to do whatever he needed to do to get them.

"Hi, you must be Dakota Irons?" the tall dark hair man said. His right hand out for Dakota to shake.
"That's me." Dakota said shaking the man's hand. "And you must be Dr. Laumann, the dream expert?"
"I don't know about the expert part but I will leave that for you to decide." Dr. Laumann said with a laugh. "Now, my brother-in-law tells me that you have been having the same dream for years, but its become more frequent recently. Is this true?"
"I should've known that Chase would contact you." Dakota sighed running a hand through his hair. "But to answer your question, what Chase has told you is true."
"I see." Dr. Laumann said. He let out a slight chuckle as he noticed the nervousness on Dakota's face. "There is no need to be nervous Mr. Irons. This procedure is very painless. The only think that we are going to do is talk about your dream. No needles, no wires, nothing like that here."
"Oh ok." Dakota said bringing his hand down and out of his hair. "By the way, please just call me Dakota. Mr. Irons is my father"
"Of course." Dr. Laumann said with a smile.
