Hey Princess
In a white dress
Chuck Taylor's
Got me obsessed
Wanna see you, so where can we hang out?
I gazed serenely at the sight in front of me. I stood in the middle of a lovely grassy field full of different species of flowers I wouldn’t in a million years be able to identify. The soft breeze blew through the field making the grass sway just like they were dancing. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to soak in every single detail.
“Wow! I love this place. I don’t ever want to leave.” I spun in circles happily. Exhausted, I fell on my back and made grass angels.
A shadow cast in front of me blocking the sunlight. I could make out the person’s silhouette which was a bulky football uniform. I leaned away from the sunlight so I could get a better look at the mystery person. His smile was the first thing I saw. “Well Anna you don’t have to.” Kevin that was his name, I remembered him being the school’s quarterback one time or another. He had this shiny jet black hair and a lovely set of blue eyes, which were staring right into my gray orbs.
“What-?” I looked down and saw I was wearing a white satin gown that shimmered in the light.
“What are you doing here O’Keefe? I don’t remember inviting you.”
I looked back at him and he sent me his signature smile, the same smile he used to win half of the student populations’ hearts.
“Oh, I get it. This is a dream! Why would I be wearing a gown in the middle of a field? This is just nuts. Another thing I don’t believe you Kevin O’Keefe would want anything to do with me. Don’t you have some girlfriends who are looking for you or something?”
“Anna! How could you say that! How could you question my intentions?” he leaned down and caressed my cheek.
“Uhh..” I blushed. I think the guy’s cute, but he’s not my type.
“How’d you know my name?” I raised my eyebrow and pushed his hand off my cheek.
Hurt flashed through Kevin’s eyes. “Anna I know everything about you. I love you.”
“Whoa hold the phone. Quarterback say what now?”
Let's go, let go!
Hold on to me oh, oh!
Let's go,
I'm a let you know!
“Anna run away with me.” He grabs my hand and has this dreamy look on his face. I pull my hand away.
“I don’t know Kevin. This is going fast don’t you think? We met, what five minutes ago? And you already want me to run away with you. I don’t know-” I forgot everything, everything I knew and believed in because of the look he was giving me. Hope. He said to me, three words I never thought someone would ever tell me, “Stay with me.”
