She wished she could go there. Alex wanted to see her mother one more time, she needed her guidance, her smart words, her warm hugs. All she could do was cry. It's been four years since Alex's mother died, although she handles it better, she misses her at times like this, when she feels alone and sad. Getting up from the spot she had curled herself in she walks around the swings in the park touching them gently remembering when she was little and her mother would push her and taught her to swing herself. However, her mother never taught her how to live and grow alone in the world of hate she was in. Sighing to herself she began the long journey home walking along the road she had seen so many times when her father would drive them to her mom's grave to pay their respects. As she walked she thought about all the times her mother would fake her smiles so that she wouldn't get scared because her mommy was in pain. Alex felt the tears welling up in her eyes and shook her head, she needed to relax, her mother was in a better place, no pain, no suffering. Taking a deep breath, she pulled the hood of her sweater up over her head continuing the walk home.
