Jasmine's P.O.V:

Another day. What now? I found out that Aliyah and Kylie have made friends. I am going to be a third wheel with all their glory. Actually, I know that a third wheel usually has to do with love, but NO ONE CARES. Wait. Why do I have this monologue? Well... I have consciences based on my friends, so meh. CONTINUING ON...
They had lunch with the populars and asked if I wanted to join, but I refused and sat with Clarissa. When we left school grounds though, I guess they changed their minds.

"While I was talking to Jessica, I said that we are going to have our last lunch there if you didn't join and apparently she really wants us so she said yes and now you are a popular! Isn't that great!" Aliyah started jump up and down explaining the whole situation while Kylie was always jumping with excitement.

"Wait what? What about Clarissa? Or the rest of the nerds and them?" Don't my friends understand that they... are good too? I mean, they did accept me. I can't betray her... But my friends... ACK WHY?!?!?!
Kylie sighed. " Clarissa? She doesn't like me, does she?"
Aliyah nodded her head. "True. We don't get along. Especially now that we are popular and everything."
"I'll think about that offer on popularity." I replied, hiding my shock from my friends answers.

Was Clarissa really that cold to them? I didn't think so. She was just warming up to them really. I walked to my house and unlocked the door knowing that my parents were still at work or something. I went straight to my room and laid down on the bed to think.

If I join the populars, people will have to respect me, right? Plus I will still be with my besties joining their dream. I could sit at their table, laugh with them, walk down the hall with them. But then Biology would be pretty awkward with Clarissa and everything. And I would be hated by like all the nerds because of her.

But if I join the nerds, I could be "the girl who turned down popularity". I could make so many more friends to hang with, plus study mates. But if I do stay, my besties will reject the offer for popularity and be heartbroken, especially Kylie. I know she was looking forwards to all of it. They might hate me for the rest of my life... I know we've been together for forever. But people change. I hope they don't, though.

'Jasmine~! You know that it's tempting~! You can be with your friends and the pops like you've always been and be fear--LOVED--by all! It's beneficial!'

Yeah... But...

'But Jasmine! You shouldn't! You'll leave your new friend, Clarissa! And as you said before, she was warming up to your old besties and you can make a lot of STUDY BUDDIES!!! You need to pass high school and graduate from college and get a good job!!!'
Oh gee... Here we go again. My fight with my basic angel and devil. Even if it isn't that obvious who is who. The devil actually usually talks first for me. I'm dividing myself.

Oh dear, my head hurts from thinking. But I need to remember: Don't lose my pen. If I lose my pen, then I can't complete a test. If I fail, I fail school. If I fail school, I can't get a job. If I can't get a job, I can't make money. If I can't make money, I can't get food. If I can't get food, I starve. If I starve, I die-- Wait. Why am I on this topic again?

I shake my head furiously. Back to the topic...

What to do, what to do. Actually, I think I might have a good idea on which side to choose. Then there was a knock on the front door. I walked up and checked the peep hole--oh dear, that name is weird--to see who was there. Aliyah and Kylie came over.

When I opened the door, they came rushing in and flopped onto the couch, not even asking for my permission.

*sigh*
Classic them. Then, Kylie took out her phone and went to Spotify, scrolling down her long list of songs until she found a dramatic and urgent looking one. Great. MORE DRAMA!!!

"So, have you thought about it?" Aliyah asked.
"Yes I have. I know which side to choose. I choose the...........
