"Hey, watch where you're going!" I shouted. Ugh. Today was my first day of school. Junior year. It was my first day at Kemps high. The only friend I had so far was Steph. She was my bestfriend. Me and her applied for the academy, so we both moved to this school. But we had no classes together, we just ride the same bus.My first class was geography, then study hall, then PE and trigonometry. "Of course I'd get last lunch." I groaned.

"Hey Matt! It's so nice to see you!" I squealed and hugged him. I've known him since last year. We are really great friends.
"Hey Ari, it's nice too see you too. Mr. Barlow is your physical education teacher too?"
"Yes he is, it's nice to see you're in one of my classes."
"Do you have trigonometry after this?" Matt asked.
"Umm.... Yeah! I do actually, you too?"
"Yeah! I do. Let's go sit on the bleachers." Matt smiled and we walked to the bleachers. Matt is kinda weird, everyone thinks he's gay. But he denies it. Even though most of the things he says.. Well let's just say he may be just hiding his true self.
"Hey Justin!" Matt sat on the bleachers next to some kid, I'm guessing his name was Justin.
Justin wore glasses and he had freckles all over his face. He seemed really quiet."This is Ariana." Matt introduced.
"Hi." I said a bit shy. I get shy around new people.
"Greetings." He smiled then quickly looked down.
"So, Justin what did you do all summer?" Matt asked. "I dunno, just played video games." Justin snorted. I coughed, trying so hard not to laugh at the fact that he sounded so nerdy.
Most of class I laughed my ass off at literally almost everything they said. They were just funny without even trying. Everyone looks at me, thinking
Why is that girl over there with the nerds, When she can be over here with us popular kids?
I can tell that's exactly what they think. Everyone asks me that too. I just wish people weren't so quick to judge others. It's sad. Our society is so awful nowadays.
"Miss? Are you alright?" Justin asks.
"Y-yes, I am." I said, a tad startled. I guess I got lost in my thoughts. Matt was gone, I think he went to buy PE clothes. Now it's just me and Justin here.
"Umm... So, when's your birthday?" Justin asks. "June 26th." I smiled, "when's yours?"
"March 1st. I'm a Pisces." He snorts. It's honestly so cute when he does that..
NO, SNAP OUT OF IT HE'S A NERD FOR GODS SAKE!
I shook my head and ignored the voices in my head that were putting so much pressure on me. It sucks that there are 'rules' in society. For instance, like "date someone who's tall and wears gallons of cologne."
Something like that. Apparently that's what most girls are into nowadays. But I'm not. I've dated someone who is 5 feet tall. I really cared for him, until he dumped me and decided to believe a bunch of bullshit rumors about me.
He came running back to me when he realized they weren't true, but of course I didn't take him back."That scumbag.." I murmured.
"M-Me?" Justin looked at me and pushed up his glasses. His eyes were like the color of rich honey, mixed in with chocolate. "N-no.. No! Not you. I was talking to myself." I stuttered.
"Oh, alright." Justin said. He was playing on his 3DS. "What game is that?" I scooted a little closer to him and looked at his screen. "The Legend of Zelda." He said quickly, moving his fingers a mile a minute.
"That's really cool." I smiled and stroked his hair that was slicked back. "Y-you think its cool?" He looked at me with big puppy dog eyes.
"Of course! I play a little bit of video games myself." I blushed.
"What games do you play?" He shut his electronic and focused his attention on me.
"I like a lot of Mario games, I also love Call of Duty, and GTA V.""Really? I didn't think you'd play video games."
"Why is that?" I asked, I mean I know I'm a girl but still, I can play video games."You look like a Stacey." He said.
"What's that?"
"It's a girl that's rich, stuck up, and popular. But of course, you're far from stuck up." He said pushing up his glasses once more.
"Well Justin, I'm not rich, or popular. I'm a regular 16 year old girl." I put a hand on my hip. "What does that make you? A John or something?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Yes in fact. I'm a John. A quiet, shy, weird little loser." He looks down.
"Hey, don't put yourself down like that. You're a really cool person Justin. I'm glad a met you today." I smiled. I wish he knew that he was such a great person. Way better than most of the kids in this school.
"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself Miss." Justin snorts. "Hey, you can call me Ariana if you'd like."
The bell rings and Matt come rushing back on the bleachers. "Yes! Food!!!!" He shouted then ran out the double doors, everyone was exiting.
"You have lunch too right?" Justin asked picking up his things. "Yes, I do."
"Come sit with me and my friends, they don't bite." He laughs. It sounded like the weirdest laugh ever, but it was cute."Do you bite?" I asked, smirking. "W-well.. Maybe a little." He scratches the back of his head.
Did I just flirt with a nerd?
