"But I don't get it! Why won't it dribble like yours?!"
I was whining again as I held the orange ball in my hands with tears coming down my eyes. It had been the twelfth time today that Kagami had tried to teach me how to dribble and I still couldn't get it." You got to do it like this,Hana"
He demonstrated, dribbling up to the net and back to me. More tears came to my eyes as I saw his flawless dribbling.(Sniffle)"It's Hannah..."
He gave me this dumbfounded look.
"Huh?
I rolled my eyes as I slide the ball to my hip.
"It's Hannah. Alex and Tastuya have been saying it right. Everyone but you. Why don't you call me Hannah, Kagami?"
For reasons at that time I couldn't understand, or that my young mind would have been able to properly put together, he started blushing like mad. Like tomato blush. Along with some flustered movements that involved the hands and weird noises that came from his mouth.
" Uh.. Umm.Well! It's Because you look like a boy!" He shouted.
I was dumbstruck.
"What?!" I shouted at his face.
" Yea! Hana is a boys name in Japanese, and you could practically pass for a boy with that curly short brown hair you have going on!"Being a young child I could not realize that I had not had enough time to let my hair grow out. So my natural reaction was as follows.
" So! Maybe I want to be a boy! Maybe... Maybe your just a jerk Kagami!" I was in tears.
So flustered and mad was I that I ended up running out of the park and leaving the ball behind. I heard Kagami shouting in the background.
"Wait! Hana!"
I,however, was having none of it. I ran to the only person that I knew would give me an answer as to why that asshat of a child was being so mean to me.
Alex.
