I was watching in the bleachers as their 49th game started. But something about this game didn't feel right.
I only found out after the game that Taiga hadn't been going all out against Tatsuya, causing him to get mad at Tagia.
I couldn't really do anything except go to Kagami after Himuro had left and sit beside him on the ground. I put my head on my arms and looked up at the orange L.A sky.
"Soooo...."
" I'm moving back to Japan, Hannah."
My eyes widen in shock. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to feel. My best friend since I was little had just said he was leaving."Oi, you ain't even gonna say anything, shorty?" He asked.
I was looking back at the sky as I replied to him.
" Well, there's not much I can really say. I mean your serious, that much I can tell. I don't know why you wanna leave, and if you decided you wanna go back I can't really do much about it. But, hey, Tagia?"
He looked at me, "Yea?"
My grey orbs started to blur over as I felt something wet and hot roll down my cheeks. I knew why I was crying, unlike some many other times in my short life. My best friend was leaving me. And he was leaving me so quick and unexpectedly. It wasn't a goodbye forever, but I didn't know when I would see him again, and this was the scary part. The part of not knowing if I ever actually would meet him again or if he would fade and would be just a brief part of my life that I would some day tell people about. That's why I had to make him promise.
" Tagia, promise me that I'll meet you some day again.Okay?"
He gave me a sad look before taking my small pinky in his larger one and wrapping the two around each other and smiling that signature Kagami smile.
"Stupid, of course we'll see each other again!"
And just like that, the next day he was gone.
Authors note!

FanfictionI'm not sure where to begin this story. All I can tell you is that I knew I loved him. I don't know how it happened. It was probably though when the basket ball hit me.
