The Gods killed their love

A soft morning it was for them ,
For rest of the world it was a total mayhem,

She blinked a subtle eye towards him,
The relations between their religions remained dim

There he was standing on the other side with a peaceful heart,
Of course their gods tore them apart.

All they wanted was to be together,
Where others were waiting to kill each other.

On they ran to look for a holy corner,
In a city which was full of chimneys and burners.

They looked for a little speck of help,
In a place where being secular wouldn't tempt.

Their only fault was to not follow the same ideals,
Too expensive it was, as they didn't knew that love kills.

Because of the same love I was born,
They were my parents whose love I could never adorn.

Killed they were by humanity,
Past experiences have taught me it is nothing but insanity.

Here I am suffocated by a constant shove,
it was The Gods who killed their love.
