Lucian POV
"Get up shitface," someone yelled in my ear. What the hell! It freaking 6 o'clock in the morning! I groaned and rolled back over. I mean it's not like it's a girl yelling that at me. Therefore, there is no reason to get up.
"Lucian get the fu*k up! You are gonna be late for practice," the voice yelled again. Practice? What?
Wait...
Practice for football. Football is my job. Oh crap! I sat up quickly and searched for a clock and whoever woke me up. Yup. It's definitely six. Shit. I run my hand through my hair and peer through my fingers.
Thank god for Derek who was standing there laughing at me. Derek was my roommate and best friend. He also happens to be on the same team as me.
I threw the sheets off of me and put on whatever smellt clean. I didn't have time to shower, not that it would matter after practice. I grabbed my bag of equipment and ran down to the kitchen. I put an apple in my mouth, raised my brows towards Derek and threw a wave before running out to my car.
I threw my duffle bag in the back and put my keys in the ignition. I drove with one hand on the wheel and the other holding my half eaten apple. I honked the horn reminding Derek to get a move on. I hit the gas and sped off to the stadium.
I walked into the locker room and began getting into my football gear. Of course this took longer than expected due to all of us guys messing around. I swear we were all five.
My phone buzzed just as Coach walked in. It was from Michaela. God, doesn't she get that it was a one and done kind of thing. I rolled my eyes and threw my phone with my other shit. Derek gave me a look knowing what just happened.
"Alright team, the med students are here today doing some studying with our sideline medical team. They might need our help by the end of practice, if not you can head out. Needless to say, be careful where you are throwing the balls today. Ok? Good, now get out there," Coach yelled and we ran out onto the field.
Derek ran beside me. "So, Michaela text you again?" He questioned in a know it all tone of voice. I glared at him.
I flipped him off and ran faster. "Like the same thing hasn't happened to you."
I grabbed a ball and began throwing it back and forth with Derek. He may be a douche bag, but he is still my best friend.
I had just caught the ball when I noticed the med students begin the walk in. God, all of them look boring. I went to look away when the last three students walk in.
Holy shit! That last one is hot. The way her hair falls and her hips sway. The way she walks around like she owns the damn place. Damnit, I sound like a girl!
I shake my head and Derek comes closer to me. He smirks, his grin as evil as the devil himself.
" I dare you to go welcome her to the stadium. She looks like loads of fun," he grinned and eyed her. My eyes narrowed.
" I will as long as you don't look at her like she is your next meal." I threw the ball back at him lazily and walked over to the groups.
When I finally got there, I just stood behind her like a freaking creep. Everyone started staring and that's when she turned around.
F***ing hell she was gorgeous. Her brown hair was pulled back so that her blue eyes stood out more from her pale complexion.
So I might have been thinking all of those things, but I sure as hell was not gonna let it show. Especially if I was trying to bed her. I mean, let's be real, all girls love the bad boy. So, instead I used my signature smirk.
