When Ron had hit Draco with the curse, Draco had fallen facing the lake. Now that he got up halfway, Harry gave me a small smile and a quick kiss on the cheek. He said,

"Good luck, come to me if you need anything.", and ran off back towards the castle, disappearing over the hill.

When Draco came to he looked around and the first thing he saw was me, standing there, staring at him. He seemed to forget why the curse had been thrown on him earlier and scrambled to his feet, unsteady, grabbed my hand, and collapsed against the tree, pulling me down with him.

He had an exhausted smile on his face, and i leaned against the trunk of the tree, giving a timid smile back at him. He leaned in, and an inch before our lips touched, i turned my head away. He felt my resistance, and opened his eyes, sitting back on his legs.

"What's wrong?" He had a longing tone in his voice.

"I don't know... I guess i just need a little time."

He smiled, so i guess he respected my decision. He nodded slightly, tucked his hand under my hair & behind my neck, and kissed me on the top of the head, before getting up to leave. He looked back at me, smiling and mouthing something, before disappearing behind the hill.

The words he mouthed looked an awful lot like, "I love you", and as i saw Ron heading this way, they were the very words i did not want to hear from a Malfoy.

Ron reached me, and planted his feet on the ground in front of me with a kind of stomping attitude. He had a scowl on his face and muttered,

"Hope you've left him." i didn't know how to answer so i lay down on the grass, facing his feet. He came down and lay beside me, facing the sky and arms behind his head, so i lay my head on his chest and (may have) started crying, quietly.

He took his arm out from behind his head and placed it around me, pulling me closer.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. He rolled over on his side, so we could be face-to-face. I gave him a smile, which he returned. Ron reached behind my head and pushed my hair over my shoulder, and looked straight into my eyes and smiled.

When he got up, i only sat up against the tree again. Before he left, he knelt down, pushed one arm on the trunk over my head for support, and the other on my face, fingers spread, so they would run through my hair, pulled me close, and kissed me, with full confidence that my word could be trusted.

It was two days after that fuss, and we were in the library trying to catch up on some homework. Ron had his arm over my shoulder and was writing with the other one. I looked up at Harry sitting across from me. Only he knew how i really felt. He looked back at me and smiled.

Every time Ron had gone to a private Quidditch practice(where the team could perfect their moves without the captain) i had a small nervous breakdown and every single time, Harry had hugged me and told me to do what i thought was best, and as much as i love him, his advice helped very little.

As much as i loved Ron, i had started developing a few small feelings for Draco, but had no idea how to get to him or make it work without leaving Ron, therefore breaking his trust...
