It was time. He could finally leave the crappy life he had and escape. He could finally be free. Just one step and all his problems would be gone.
[y/n] stood at the edge of the building, looking down at the cars below. Everything was going really fast.
He lifted a foot up and held it over the edge, ready to let go when he heard a flutter from behind him like a birds wings and a hand grabs his arm and pulls him back. [y/n] was turned around and was faced with a man slightly taller then him. The thing that really shocked [y/n] was the beautiful wings on the other's back.
"W-What?"
"You were going to jump. I had to stop you" He spoke, something about his voice was calming.
"You...You have wings..." [y/n] was still stuck in a state of shock and amazement.
"You can see them?" Now it was the mystery man's turn to be surprised. [y/n] nodded.
"What does it mean?" He asked.
"You're my soulmate...And it's my job to keep you safe"
[y/n] looked down at the floor. "I'm sorry...My name's [y/n]"
"I'm Lucifer"
