On the way to the vet Tink whimpered and and looked out the window scared and worried. I guesses she had never been in a car or much less in the presence of two people at the same time. We pulled in and I wrapped the blanket tighter around her and stepped out of the car. The door jingled as we stepped into the local vet and on the tile floor to clean to be real. The entire small building was too clean but very welcoming. Four seats were unoccupied when we entered but an older lady walked out with a dog in one of those cones around its head walk out with the sweet old lady shunning the dog under her breath. I carried Tink up to the table and Drake yelled, "Jeff! Are ya' back there?" A man in his early thirties came out with a paper towel drying his wet hands and smiled at Drake. Shaking his hand he noticed me. "Well little miss who might you be?" He asked grinning as he threw the towel away. I could tell by the way he said it they didn't get many new comers. I was pretty good at reading people and he was a bit on edge facing a new person like me. That's not unusual I am pale as can be and blond and a clear outsider. "My name is Summer I'm here with my uncle." I said plainly but with a smile on my face. He nodded, "Well Summer it's nice to meet you and..." He trailed off looking at a shaking Tinkerbell in my arms. "This is Tinketbell, she needs a bit if everything, and probably more. She's a stray." Drake explained for me. Jeff looked a her closer and came around the table. I heaved her off and set her in the ground. Towl in hand I stood up and let her walk on her own. Jeff bent down and let out a low whistle. "Bring her back around ill get some stuff ready." He said standing. Andrew will help you get her washed, Drake I wanna show you a hawk that was brought in yesterday. She..." Jeff's voice was lost as I was steered, Tink in hand, into an exam room. I stopped for a moment and took in the site in front of me. His swimming shorts were a navy blue and his white athletic shirt clung a little to his built frame. His sandy hair bleached a but from the sun stood out a bit on his tan head as he turned around to face me. He blinked for a moment taking me in and looking slightly down at my legs, arms and head then to Tink in my arms. I was nothing to gawk at I mean I had in shorts but they weren't that short and my tank top was one if those loose ones with a cami underneath. This all happened in the span of five seconds and I glanced at his eyes. They were deep brown and lighter on the outside but looked like swirling chocolate. I have to admit they were beautiful even for a guys eyes. "H..hey." I managed to stammer as I extended one hand and he took it in his. "I'm Andrew Lark, who are you?" He asked taking a look at Tink again in my arms. I began to hand her over, "This is Tinkerbelle and I'm Summer." I manage to get out without stuttering. He took her and se lashed out. Then out of no where she turned and nipped his wrist. Her little teeth did little damage to Andrews wrist but he was shocked and bent a little and harshly set her down. "Hey!" I yelled at him as Tink went and sat behind my legs with her head sticking through them. "S ss sorry." he stammered. "I just didn't expect that sorry girl." He bent down an held out his hand. Tink huffed a deep breath out to his hand but licked it a little as if forgiving him. What a sweetie she was. I stepped back as he stood up and picked her up. "Where should I put her?" I said maybe a little harsher than I could have but still, he dropped my dog. Andrew began to rub the back of his neck, "The table should do for now... Wait! The sink actually she needs a bath." He corrected himself. I walked over and set her in the large silver sink and he started the water. "Stand back she may get you all wet." He warned with a smile.
