"I see you two finally came up for some air," VJ commented as Hunter and I made our way back inside the house.

"Shut up VJ," Hunter said to his step brother before rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, like you can say much Vincent," I said, putting extra emphasis on his dreaded first name. "Did you have a lot of fun with Evelyn today?"

I knew that would push his buttons.

"Wait, are you seeing Evie!" Hunter exclaimed, clearly confused.

"Yeah he is," I told Hunter before VJ could object.

"Olivia shut up!"

"Back off VJ! No one gets to tell my girl to shut up!"

Oh gosh. He called me his girl.

"Your girl?" I questioned Hunter, hoping he wouldn't be able to see my pink cheeks from where he was standing.

"You're blushing!" he exclaimed, avoiding my question.

"Am not!"

"Are too!" VJ agreed.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Hunter asked before grabbing his keys.

"I'm assuming I can't say no?"

"So you're pretty and smart?"

"Very funny," I said as I tried to stifle a laugh. "Now come on!"

***
We made our way back to the house I shared with Irene, Nate and Chris shortly after 8pm.

I didn't want to say goodbye to Hunter, but then again, I didn't want to rush into anything yet.

"So," I began, as I clambered out of Hunter's car.

"So..."

"Today was..."

"Eventful."

"Kissing you was the best part," he added.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah."

"I'm assuming you want to kiss me again?"

"That's exactly what I want," he said, before our lips collided as he pulled me into him.

***

"Morning Irene!"

"Someone's in a good mood today!"

"Yeah," I replied as a small smile crept across my face. "Let's just say, everything fell into place yesterday."

I promised myself I wouldn't rush into anything too soon, which is why nothing escalated with Hunter, as much as I wanted it to. I was content with things the way they were between us.

"Well I'm glad that you're feeling better love," Irene continued before setting the table for breakfast. "Are you excited for your first day today?"

"First day of what?"

"School!" she exclaimed as if I had no idea what she was talking about.

"I never enrolled."

"I did it for you!"

The tone of her voice told me that she was more thrilled about the idea of me going to school than I was.

"Oh, um thanks?"

"You didn't think I would let you stay in Summer Bay without making sure you got an education too did you?"

Yes.

"No, of course not!"

"You're uniform is on the table in the living room and I can either drop you off or you can walk."

"I'll walk thanks," I replied before proceeding to get dressed.

***

I wasn't too ecstatic about going to a new school, but then again, it was exactly what I needed. I came to Summer Bay for a fresh start, to escape my past. Going to a new school wouldn't hurt.

"Olivia, what are you doing here?"

"Hey Hunter, good to see you too," I responded sarcastically.

"I didn't mean it like that! I'm just surprised, that's all. I didn't think that you'd be coming to school!"

"I didn't really have a choice, but at least I get to see you."

"Get a room guys!"

"Like you can talk Vincent."

"We've been over this!" he replied, harshening his tone to get his point across. "I'm not dating Evie!"

"VJ, it's okay. You can tell them," Evie commented, playing along with my game.

"What is wrong with you people!" VJ yelled, throwing his hands in the air in anger.

"VJ do you need to come to my office?" Leah said as she approached our little group in the hallway.

"Mum what are you doing here?"

"I work here, remember?"

Apparently Leah had been rehired as the school councillor after Charlotte was fired. I didn't know the reasoning behind why she was cut from the staff the first time, but I was glad she was back and permanently working at Summer Bay High.

"This day can not get any worse," VJ said as he sighed and made his way to his first class.

"You love causing drama don't you?" Hunter turned to face me as he collected the last of his books.

"Only occasionally." I smirked at him and laughed to myself as he escorted me to my first class of the day.

***

"English is so boring!" Hunter complained once the bell had rung to dismiss us.

"I'm surprised you kept your eyes open!"

"I have to! Zac might be my dad, but at school he's apparently nothing but 'Mr MacGuire' to me."

"Do you still go by your mum's last name?" I asked him, wondering why he was known as Hunter King, and not as Hunter MacGuire.

"Yeah I do. I don't think I'd change it, Hunter MacGuire sounds weird. I haven't even know Zac for a year! I'm not sure I want to change my last name yet."

"I don't think it's weird!" I objected, trying to give Hunter some reassurance.

"So one day if we decided to get hitched you'd happily become Olivia MacGuire, not King?"

"It should've been Olivia Wright," a familiar voice interrupted us.

Jack.

"Hunter don't-"

"Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are?"

"Olivia's boyfriend, that's who."

. . . . . .
