Chapter 8 •My baby child•

*7 months late*
•Sidney's POV•
The next morning I woke up in pain.
"Agh" I yelled. I looked down and saw that I was surrounded by water. Oh no, my water broke. The baby's coming.

Jace is at set right now and I'm in so much pain. I picked up my phone and called Jace.

J: Hello
Me: J-Jace, my water just broke
J: Oh my gosh! I'll be right there
Me: No Jace! You're closer to the hospital than I am. I'll just call my mom to come get me
J: are you sure?!
Me: yes, I'll see you in 15 minutes
J: ok, I love you Sid
Me: I love you too Jace

I hung up my phone up and started groaning. "Hold on, don't come out yet" I said waddling over to my closet.

I put on sweatpants, a large sweatshirt, and my boots. I picked my phone back on and dialed my mom.

M: hello
Me: mom can you come pick me up now! The baby's coming
M: ok, but shouldn't Jace be taking you?
Me: he's meeting us there, just hurry up
M: honey, I'm already in the driveway
Me: ok I'm coming downstairs bye
M:bye

I grabbed the baby bag and I ran outside. Ignoring the pain that was ripping through my stomach. I got in the front seat and grabbed my stomach.

"Ok sweetie, just breath" my mom said pulling out of the drive way. I groaned and moaned. It hurts so bad.
"Mom, it really hurts" I groaned out
"Just hold on sweetie, we're here" She said. She parked in the parking lot and got out. I opened the door and slowly got out. My mom grabbed the baby bag and she helped me though the hospital doors.

Jace ran up to me and I fell into his arms.

"Babe, listen to me. We're gonna get through this" Jace whispered in my ear. "My girlfriend is going into labor!" Jace yelled to the lady at the front desk. The lady called for backup and 3 nurses came in. They set me down in a wheel chair and they wheeled me to a room. Jace and my mom were right behind us.

"Agh" I yelled out. They changed me into a hospital gown and laid me down on the bed. Jace pulled up a chair and grabbed my hand and my mom went on the other side of me and grabbed my other hand. "Jace I can't do this!" I screamed out.
"Sidney, look at me," Jace said. I turned my head and looked into his eyes. Tears were streaming down my face. "You are going to deliver our baby girl. Then we are going to take her home and live happily ever after. Like a fairytale. But we can't live a fairytale unless you do this. Because I know you can, if there's anything I've learned from dating you for 3 years is that you don't give up. Don't give up on me now Sid, don't give up on our child" Jace said. I leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
"I can do this" I said giving his hand a squeeze.
"Ok Ms. Canes, I need you to push" The doctor said. I looked at my mom and she gave me a warm smile. I looked at Jace and he gave me a wink and a smile.

I started to push. I squeezed my mom and Jace's hands. "Agh!" I screamed.
"Come on Ms. Canes. We have a head" the doctor said. I took a deep breath and pushed harder. My eyes were glued shut and sweat and tears were running down my face. "One more big push" The doctor said
"Aghhhhhhhhh!!!" I screamed and gave one more big push. The sounds of a crying baby filled the room. I laid back down in the hospital bed and smiled. I did it. My breathing was very heavy.
"You did it Sid" Jace said pushing strands of hair behind my ear. I smiled and looked at my mom.
"I'm so proud of you baby" she said stroking my face.
"Ms. Canes, here is your new baby girl" The doctor said handing me my baby. I held her in my arms. I placed my finger on her stomach and she grabbed it. Wrapping her little hands around it.

"Hi baby, I'm your new mommy" I said kissing her forehead. She smiled and opened her eyes. They were a light brown, like mine. She had Jace's nose and his ears.

"What are you going to name her?" My mom asked. Jace and I looked at each other and smiled.
"Delaney Mae Norman"

When Jace and I got back home we went upstairs to Delaney's room. I handed her off to Jace and set the baby bag on the rocking chair. I turned around and saw Jace rocking Delaney back and forth in his arms.

I wrapped my arms around his torso and smiled.

"She's so cute" Jace whispered. Delaney yawned and slowly shut her eyes.
"She's also tired" I said. Jace kissed her forehead and set her down in her crib. Jace and I walked out of her room and quietly shut the door behind us.

We walked into our bedroom and I laid down on our bed. "I can't believe we did it" I said. Jace laid down next to me and took my hand.
"I told you we would, we always make it" Jace replied. I smiled and kissed his lips. Jace smiled into the kiss and kissed back harder. We pulled away and started laughing.

"What's for dinner?" I asked
"We could order Chinese takeout and watch Netflix" Jace suggested
"That's sounds amazing" I replied. Jace picked up the phone and started dialing the Chinese takeout place. While Jace ordered the food I decided to take a shower. I turned on the water and stripped down into nothing. I stepped in and let the warm water run down on me.

"Winston is so funny" I said laughing after an episode of new girl finished
"I know right" Jace said. I looked at the clock. It read 10:30. Delaney was already fed and she was asleep in her room.
"I'm ready for bed. What about you?" I asked looking at Jace.
"Same" he replied. Jace and I turned off the lights and the TV and went underneath the covers. I laid my head down on Jace's chest and he wrapped his around my shoulders.
"I love you Jace" I said. Jace kissed my forehead.
"I love you too Sidney" Jace said and then we fell asleep.
