I rolled over onto my side and yawned widely, stretching my arms upward.

It was still very dark outside of my window, so using the feeble amount of light emanating from my fairy lights, I grabbed my phone from my bedside table.

I was about to open Musical.ly to check my notifications from my multiple posts last night when Hayley burst in my room fully clothed and smiling ecstatically.

"Annie! We have to leave for the airport in 20 minutes. I suggest you get dressed and do all your makeup-y stuff. Caleb, Mom, and Dad are already ready."

I simpered and replied, "Okay Hayls. Be down in 15."

She smiled and spun around, causing her skirt to flutter gracefully. Once she had skipped halfway down the hall, I jumped up out of my warm bed and slid my feet immediately into my slippers.

"Time to get ready!", I thought excitedly as I headed towards my bathroom to take a relaxing shower.

Hold on. If I'm going to tell this story, you'll need some background information.

;

I'm Annie from the famous family vlogging YouTube channel Bratayley. I am a successful level ten gymnast, which is why I'm homeschooled and able to go on a lot of trips and vacations. I just recently turned 14, and I feel very happy with my life.

My sister, Hayley, is 11 years old, and is a level five gymnast. She is a super spunky, fun young girl, and she's taken on the roll of my best friend.

Two years ago, we even moved her bed into my room without our parents knowing, and we slept that way for a month before they told us to move it back. She may not be completely relatable like Katie or Liv, but she knows me so well and is always there for me.

Caleb is 17 and thriving. He chose to go to public school for high school, and he loves it. He is captain of the baseball team and has a 4.2 GPA.

His girlfriend Skye is a gorgeous girl with golden blonde hair and dark turquoise eyes. She inspires me to be proud of my image, which really helps, considering I'm struggling through my freshman year of high school at the moment.

They've been dating for four years, and Caleb plans to propose to her right after their graduation.

Anyways, two months ago we were invited by Maker Studios to fly out to New York City and film a video about adventuring and how having fun is important.

While we're there, we'll be going to see a Disney movie premiere with Brennan, Katie, and Ryan. We'll never turn down a Disney opportunity.

That's why we're up so early. We are about to head out to catch our flight which leaves at 7am.

Well back to the present then.

I hopped out of the shower and towel-dried my hair to the point where it was manageable to style.

My outfit of the day was black Lulu Lemon leggings, a cropped maroon tank top, a jean jacket, and my pristine white converse.

The makeup was pretty simple: foundation, concealer, powder, champagne-colored eye shadow, mascara, eyebrow pencil, and I finished it off with plain clear lipgloss.

I threw my hair into a 10-second-bun, and studied my image in my vanity mirror.

"Lookin' good Annie," I thought, while nodding my head approvingly.

I picked up my travel backpack and slung it onto my shoulders, sliding out the handle of my rolling suitcase as well. I took a look around my room and decided I had gotten everything I needed.

I closed my bedroom door and rolled my bag down the hallway to the stairs, which were twisty and difficult to navigate bags down.

I solved this by chucking my bag down the stairs, where it bumped and banged against the wall and the banister. I heard a loud THUNK when it came in contact with the hard wood floors at the bottom.

I grinned and followed it down the stairs, but taking the steps one at a time, not four like the bag.

I came to the bottom of the stairs and saw the living room where Hayley laid, sprawled across the couch with the TV remote in her hand, surfing through Netflix shows and movies.

Turning, I looked at the kitchen and its occupants.

Mom, Dad, and Caleb were sitting at the island drinking coffee. I stood still for a moment, taking in the scene.

Then I screamed.

"Oh my god!"

Sorta cliff hanger? { .... } means author's note, and ~ means end of chapter or beginning. Hope you liked it!
