Blue eyes met his yellow ones. I am at loss for words. His feral stature and his piercing look makes me shiver on the spot. He sported those large fangs and large claws, almost ready to pounce on me at the very instant. He growled in a low tone and began pacing himself towards me. I wanted to scream, but it is no use for I am the only one who lives in this mansion for eight years. Every step this feral beast took made me take a step backward until I felt the cold wall press against my back. It was almost as this beast had smirked at my demise, I was between life and death where death was already holding both of my hands. With a flash of a second, he leaped forward towards me and my eyes grew wide as this wolf turned into a man right before my eyes. His white fur turned into skin as white as ivory, large claws turned into fingers yet his eyes remained deadly yellow as they were before.

"Serve me, Kana." he whispered into my ear.  He was close. Dangerously close. His face buried in my hair and I can feel his cool breath in my neck. I was pinned to the corner of the room, nowhere to go, nowhere to run.

"Who are you?" I asked, barely a whisper. My knees were shaking and my lips were trembling. Such non-existent creature had materialized before me and asks me to serve him. He stood straight in front of me, grazed his hand in his long white hair and smiled.

"Deux. White wolf of the East. I came here to take you to the place you've always dreamed of."

Of course. He was all too familiar. Deux, white wolf of the East. King of all realms of dreams. How could I forget the creature who haunts me in my dreams, asking me to be his wife. I looked at him, afraid, amazed and confused. This creature is absolutely real.

"Kana, I have longed for this day to come. I have come here to make a bargain with you, listen intently to what I have to say." he stated. I gulped, fearing this bargain of his is just a game these creatures play. "Come with me to the realm of dreams, become my wife for three days and three nights. After that, I shall return you to the human world and grant you anything your heart desires."

"How can I trust you?" I asked. I wanted proof that this creature says the truth. A lot of things have started rumbling in my mind. What if he takes me to the realm of dreams and kills me there or what if he does not return me to the world I know? What kind of place is the realm of dreams and will I be able to survive? I looked into his golden eyes, endless and alluring, hypnotic and dangerous.

"In your heart you wish for your mother to return, I shall grant that easily." With a snap of his fingers adorned with long claws, a roar of engine was heard outside. I ran towards the window and saw a taxi cab with my mother inside. She stepped out together with her bags and proceeded to walk towards the mansion. "How?" I was dumbfounded. I was shocked when my grandmother, my sweet sweet grandmother, also stepped out of the cab and followed my mother.

"I can control a few things in the world of the living. Your mother who ran off with a man came back today because I have manipulated existence. Your mother's lover no longer cease to exist and the only memory she have of going away is because she had a vacation somewhere else. And as an additional offer, I have cured your grand mother of her of her disease that was supposed to kill her soon." he replied. I gulped, is this for real? My excitement grew and I wanted to run and greet my mother at the doorstep despite the fact that I have developed anger towards her for leaving me alone. "However," Deux added, "Your mother will not recognize your existence as her daughter. I shall alter this when you agree to this offer of mine to go with me in the realm of dreams."

My confused mind impulsively made my head nod. I wanted this to end and be with my mother as soon as possible. My mother was my most beloved person, I had been looking for her for eight years after her disappearance so her sudden return was what I have longed the most. His smile grew wider as I prayed for my safety. He placed his hand inside his black furred coat and took out a silver bracelet.

"With this, I promise your safety in the realm of dreams. As long as you have this, you have both my scent and aura, no one will have the thoughts of harming you. Do not remove it at any cost."

I took the bracelet from his hand and placed it on my wrist. I clutched it tightly and hoped with all my might that this trinket will indeed protect me from this eccentric thought of traveling to a world not know to human beings. Deux looked at me with his piercing gaze and chuckled. He placed a hand on my head and to my surprise, he leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on my forehead. My cheeks started to burn and for the first time, I felt embarrassed in a simple situation.

"Well then, to the realm of dreams we go." he stated as he crouched down and reverted back to his feral figure of a white wolf, so large that it is indeed an unearthly being. I climbed on his back and from where he entered, he took a leap of faith from the balcony of the fourth story of this forsaken mansion. I closed my eyes and prayed this will all end soon.
