run run as fast as you can. before the bad guys get you again!

Marco's POV

As we start running towards the exit at the top floor to the roof I think about where Ruby was and how she escaped. The only thing I could think of was that she was in the shadow abis. A realm where everyone on earth has a shadow and they just stand there doing nothing! I look at Alysha behind me she was running on her broken foot. She was obviously in pain, she was cringing and biting her lip. I feel really bad that I let her get taken by wisps tornado. She looks up slightly and smiles alittle. I smile back. Then head up the stairs to the top floor. I hear shouting from behind us. Wisp and the others know we are gone. Great!

"You guys go, I will make sure they dont come after us!" I say as they reach the top of the stairs.

"Ok" Rubys says running straight to The door. No hesitation what so ever. She ran straight out the door where I couldnt see her.

"N...no" Alysha says stopping next to me at the top huffing "I want to help!"

"How?! Your foot is broken and you have no powers!" I say. I didn't want anything else to happen to her "please just go and stay safe!"

"So I can't help because I don't have powers or any special abilities! Thats.... A lot like racism!" She shouts, I had never thought of it that way

"Alysha wait!" I shout as she runs out the door leaving me here like I wanted her to do, but now I wish she was here still. I listen as the foot steps fade away. Soon enough the were gone. As soon as they were far away I see wisp round the corner. He is smiling.

"Wow, never thought you would make a mistake" he says clapping, mocking me "really, great job Marco"

"I don't need your opinion wisp" I say no anger in my voice right now

"Do you really think she could ever love someone like you?" He says shaking his head, he chuckles a little as he looks to the dusty,dirty floor

"W...WHAT! NO I.... I NEVER WANTED!" I shout wishing I could smack him over the head right then and there

"Stop trying to hide it! You love her, you always have" he says walking slowly over to me still looking at the ground " and you just destroyed your only chance, how does it feel?"

"Why would I tell you?" I say, there is always a catch, I don't think this is a good one

" I dont know... Maybe we can make an arrangement" wisp says looking up at me. His eyes looking into my soul.

"I don't need your help!" I shout in rage. "Even protecting her is good for me!"

"Hmm. Very well" he says before turning around, about to leave?

"Where are you going?" I ask confused " why are you just walking away?!"

He turns around " I'm out of energy, my powers are to low to do anything to provent you from leaving... So I'm letting you go" he says before saying "for now" he walks away leaving me where I was standing.

I walk out the door and see Ruby standing there staring in amazment infrount of her. Alysha must have gone that way. I don't know what to do. She is mad at me! She has never been mad at me before! This was a whole new feeling. I walk over to Ruby and stand next to her."She went that way didn't she?"

"Yep... She seemed mad, did wisp do something again to upset her?" She says starting to walk the way Alysha had ran.

"No... I did. I told her that she couldn't help fend off wisp and the others... Because she doesn't have powers" Ruby turns and looks at me.

"You don't know do you?" She says with a slight laugh "she does have powers. She just, hasn't found them yet"

"What?" There was no way Alysha had powers! "That's impossible!"
