I just reread this story and realized how dumb and unrealistic it sounds. I mean, honestly, how does Cal even know Ozzy's name if they apparently don't associate with each other? And plus, why would Cal start telling Ozzy about her personal life all of a sudden even though they barely know each other? So...that's why I've revised it. I'm still going to leave my old draft here though.
Even though her appearance resembles an angel, it's all a facade. I swear, if you study her anatomy, you'll see her heart's been replaced by cold--COLD--icicles. Then, if you look upward, you'll see her brain's huge. She's a freaking evil GENIUS, I tell you. How else does she maintain a 4.5 GPA while developing sinister plans to kill her enemies?
After this whole evil genius description, you're probably wondering who exactly I'm talking about. The answer: Cal Hope, school ruler of Denver High since 2010. Rumor has it, even as a baby, she was manipulative.
All her life has consisted of is ruining other people's lives. Just the other day, Cal Hope decided to diss her best friend because she wore the same color high heels. After that, her best friend went down in popular status--whatever that is.
I can tell you EVERYTHING about this school because, just like all the other nerds and lower-status seniors, I was bred to become a gossiper. I can hear all the latest "news" because my friends and locker mates are gossipers too. And it just so happens, the latest rumor is that Cal Hope has ditched school for a modeling career. Everybody seems to believe it because one, Cal Hope is supermodel worthy, and two, she hasn't been to school for five days in a row.
How is five days in a row really significant, you're probably wondering. It just so happens its election week, which means the student council president will be elected, and Cal Hope has just about won every election as student council president since she moved to this school in sophomore year.
...That's why I didn't expect to see her at my house that fine, summery Friday afternoon.
