A/N: hey my lovelies! I'm hoping to get things moving soon lol, enjoy!  And up there is kind of what I'm thinking they look like lol sails hair has died ends and blue eyes.

Once we were back at the house, I tell Mariah that I'm going to go for a walk. She nods her head and hands me her phone, telling me that the house phone is in the contacts list, and to be home before five. It's 3:30, so I have I have a good amount of time.
Closing the door behind me I walk down the empty street. I'm down about ten blocks until I see a yard sale. I just walk by the tables skimming what is there. Everything is old toys and clothes, until something catches my attention. I pick up the box reading the label. I look at the other end of the table only to see a teen girl maybe 14, clicking her gum and typing on her phone. I open the old box, sliding its contents out.
Oh my god.
It's an fisher price record player. And by the looks of it it's plays actual records. It's not some old one that plays nursery rhymes.
My mom use to have one at the house. That is until my dad broke it.
We would play classics we both loved, like the Beatles and Guns and Roses. I pick up the box closing it and walk towards the girl in her phone.
"Can I buy this?" I ask rocking back in my feet.
After a few moments of silence, she looks up. "Does is look like I care?"
"Um okay, I'm going to buy it then, how much?" I sigh.
She just shrugs continuing to scroll on her phone.
I take out my wallet that's still in my pocket and tug out a ten. I hand her the bill and she tucks it in her pocket.
I pick up the record player and head home in the direction I came from.
I can't help but smile at my freaking score.
The sky begins to darken and I check the clock on the phone.
It's only 4:10. Can't be dark out yet.
It's when the small drops of rain hit my bare arms it realize.
I absolutely love to walk in the rain. But the record player won't, and neither will the phone.
I run into the space between to houses, standing underneath the hangover of the roof.
I scroll down the contacts on the cell until I find the home number. Clicking call I wait as the phone rings.
"Hello?" A voice that I'm guessing is Finns, sounds from the other line.
"Uh hey, it's Sail."
"Yeah okay, what to you want?" He says bluntly.
"Can your mom pick me up-"
"She's working."
"Oh, okay. You da-"
"Work."
"You?"
There's a minute of quiet, as if he's weighing his options.
"Where are you?"
I smile and quickly tuck the phone in my pocket, running out into the street looking at the sign, then running under the coverage of the alley from the now pouring rain.
"I'm on Wilton, by the houses 45, and 47." I reply breathlessly.
"M'kay be there in a few." He answers.
After thanking him I hang up and wait there shivering.
Not to long later, a familiar car pulls up in the street. I bolt for the door and quickly sit in the passenger seat.
I sigh as the heat coming from the vents hits my cold wet skin. I used my sweater to cover up my back pockets so I don't damage the borrowed phone.
After tugging on my seatbelt I clutch on to the box this holding my precious record player.
Averting his eyes from the road for a second to my box, he asks me what it is.
"It's a record player!" I reply with a smile.
"Okay, cool. You got any records?" He asks shrugging.
"Well no, but I was hoping that there would be a music store someplace around." I tell him. "You know any where good?" I add.
He shrugs and turns a corner, taking us in a different direction. I guess he does.

When we pull up to a small shop called "Dans Music Shop"
With signs saying "used records".
It looks pretty cool.
"I'm gonna go get a coffee, I'll be back here 10 to five." Finn says as I hop out of the car and nod my head in response.
"Thanks Findle."
He shakes his head and drives away.

I step into the store taking in its contents. It has a bunch of racks filled with old looking records, CDs and even cassette tapes. Awesome.
I begin to flip through the records as the smell of dust and old paper engulfs me.
In the A section, I find the Back In Black album by AC/DC. And instantly pick it up. These aren't expensive at all.
Going trough the records reminds me of my mum a lot. Especially when I pick up Abbey Road, from The Beatles. We absolutely loved this album. My mom has a few records of her own, but most of them are broken, or warped even. My dad smashed them along with the record player. They meant so much to my mom. The record player was her dads before he died of brain cancer. She was only child, so was my dad. That's why I have no one to go. My dads side of the family are drunks of not alive, and my moms side, well my you know my grandpa died, and my grandma is just to old and unhealthy to take care of me. I guess I was just unlucky.
Realizing I have been staring at a Beatles record for a while, a voice snaps me out of my sad thoughts.
"You like the Beatles?"
I turn around to see a boy that looks my age. He has dark hair shaped in a quiff and startling chocolate brown eyes. A piercing in his right ear and he wears a Blink 182 tank top and black jeans on his tall lanky figure.
I nod my head smiling. "reminds me of my mum." I say shrugging. I don't really know why I told him that, but okay. "How about you?" I ask hoping not to be asked any questions.
"Of course, there a classic!" He says running his hand through his hair with a smile. "What other band you like?"
"I dunno," I shrug. "I like the rock bands like AC/DC, Guns and Roses, and the Beatles, but I'm into My Chemical Romance, Panic! At the Disco, and Twenty Øne Piløts."I answer
He smiles saying " follow me"
I follow down the aisles until we're at the back of the store. He pulls out "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" and I gasp tugging it out of his hands, admiring the record. I almost scream when he pulls out "The Black Parade".
"Oh my gosh these are beautiful, and they don't even looks used!" I say with a huge grin plastered in my face.
"I ordered them online, you can buy them if you'd like." He shrugs.
"I would absolutely love to. But I don't know if I could, I don't have very much money on me."I say frowning.
"There were like super cheap, and there used so like yeah..."
"Oh okay." I say going to the counter with him to pay for them.
Once there payed for and in a bag I have hanging on my arm I notice that I dint even know his name.
"I never caught your name, I'm Sail by the way." I say stretching out my hand.
He takes it smiling and shakes it. "It's Elliot, what school do you go to?" He answers.
"I just moved here, I'm going to the public one not to far from here, Pines High I think."
"Oh cool, same. Maybe I'll see you on Monday." He says releasing my hand as my phone vibrates inside my pocket. I tug it out an read a text from Finn.
Finnick<3 : I'm outside
Me : ok one sec
Finnick<3 : hurry
"I have to go, I'll see you around Elliot." I say heading out the door. He smiles and waves.
"Who was that guy?" Finn asks as soon as I get in the car.
"His name is Elliot, he goes to the our school it seems, why?" I say shrugging my shoulders.
"Just wondering, he must be Elliot Arris, Dans son, the guy who owns the store." He replies as we pull into the drive way.

Back in the house I drop off my stuff upstairs, then go down stairs for dinner. Jacob is working late, and Finn is in his room. I'm surprised that Mariah stopped to come eat with me, I thought I would be alone, it wouldn't be the first time.
After cleaning up I go upstairs and unpack the old record player. I set it in my desk and plug it in. Taking the Beatle record from its package I put it on and carefully place the needle on the disc.
I lay down on my bed letting a few spare tears fall from my eyes as here comes the sun plays filling the room with its sound, rocking me to sleep.
