“Oh my God…Christina….I’m married…" Blake said. “And I…have Adam…or at least I still hope I do…" Christina said, realizing what he had just done. “Oh my god…Blake! I’m so sorry! Really! I am! You know I’d never try to ruin your relationship with Miranda! Please! Blake, you have to believe me! I’m so sorry! I was just having low self esteem! I’m so sorry!" she said, holding him so she could try to get through to him. “I’m sorry, Christina…I have… to go…" he said. Blake stood up from the couch and walked out the door. “FUCK!" Christina yelled," I’m such a fucking screw up! What is wrong with me?!" Christina pondered on the couch for a few minutes. “I can’t believe I did that…I can’t BELIEVE I FUCKING DID THAT!" she said. A few minutes passed and she took a sigh after she realized what she had to do-she had to tell Adam.

After Adam left the house, he stormed into his car and drove home. He came home to 21 missed messages, all from Christina. “I’m not gonna fucking answer that," he thought to himself. He went into the kitchen and took out a beer to drown the pain away in liquor. He cried for two hours, thinking about how he gives her everything and he gets nothing in return. He treats her like a queen and she never does anything to show him how lucky she is to have him in her life. More tears began to emerge from his eyes and roll down his cheeks, one by one. He checked his phone for the first time of the night since he stormed out of Christina’s house. He never bothered to open the messages with the contact name of,"Chrissy!<3" but instead scrolled past it. His eyebrow rose with confusion as he saw a message from a contact named," CeeLo." He opened it, wondering why he would text him, especially at this time of the night. “Hey, Adam, do you wanna come over right now? I made a whole bunch of nachos but I can’t finish it, LOL" Adam replied," No, thanks, CeeLo…I’m sorry. I’m just not in the mood to talk or see anyone right now…" A few seconds passed and his phone began to vibrate yet again. “Did something happen with Christina?" he asked, not caring whether he was intruding on their relationship. “Yeah…." Adam texted back. “Well, you can come over to talk about it; I’m here for you man." CeeLo sent. After minutes of debating in his head whether he should go or not, Adam soon agreed, feeling there was nothing wrong in achieving support and advice from a fellow friend.

Adam arrived at CeeLo’s house, greeted by his cat. “Hey, man. Come on in. You can help yourself to the nachos if you feel like it… They’re really good, if I may add, you know because, yeah, I made it!" CeeLo said, trying to make Adam smile for the first time ever since he left Christina’s house. He lead him into the kitchen then the living room. They both sat down on the couch and Adam took a deep breath before spilling everything that was on his mind to CeeLo.

“I just don’t get it, CeeLo! Am I…not good enough for her…or something? I give her everything but I never see anything back… I know it sounds selfish…but who wouldn’t want to achieve love from the person you give your heart to? I love her so much it hurts, and I just feel like I’m not good enough for her if she’s not showing anything back." Adam said, wiping a few tears away from his face with his sleeve. “What do you…think?" Adam asked CeeLo. “Honestly, Adam…I think Christina is so good to you! You treat her like a queen because you and I both know she deserves to be treated that way. You feel that you don’t get a lot of love from her, but you have to think about it from her perspective. You know that when she was young, she had a rough childhood. She put up walls around her heart because of how afraid she is to love and possibly get hurt. She’s afraid that any relationship she’s in is going to turn into what she went through when she was young…You’re lucky…You at least were able to break down those walls. She hugs you, she kisses you…she tells you she loves you every night when you guys are laying in bed together, she loves looking deep into your eyes, she cooks you dinner, hell, she talks about you all the time! Blake and I are seriously like sitting there awkwardly when she talks about your ‘muscles’ Hahaa! …But anyway, she’s so good to you, but you don’t really see it." CeeLo said. Adam already began crying after he heard CeeLo say everything he needed to say. Adam took a few minutes to calm down and register what CeeLo had just said in his mind. “Oh..my god…CeeLo…You’re right! Wow, how could I be so stupid?" Adam said, shaking his head into his hands. “Adam, you’re not stupid. You just didn’t really stop to think about it. She really is great to you and I hope you see that now…But all that matters are that you two are both happy; whether you two treat each other like kings and queens or not." CeeLo said. He began to rub Adam’s back a bit before going into the kitchen to bring him a glass of water. “I can smell the beer on you. How many did you already drink? Drinking your problems away doesn’t make them go away, Adam, it only prolongs it." he said, handing him the glass of water. “I had about maybe…four bottles." Adam responded, feeling guilty. “Okay, that’s not so bad. If I were you, I would’ve had a whole keg. Christina’s a great woman, and if I went through something like that with her, I don’t know how I’d take it. You’re doing pretty well. That proves you really love her." CeeLo said. “Oh my God, CeeLo. I really do love her! A lot! She makes me so happy, all of the time! I can’t stop smiling about her; every time I hear her voice, when I see her beautiful blue eyes, when I hear her heels clicking from the hallway, but the most is when she tells me she loves me. I’m just…really surprised it took me this long to realize how much she did. I hope she still does…" Adam sat there sipping his water when he remembered what happened. He remembered hearing Christina crying after he slammed the door to her house and maybe even the door to her heart. He realized how much he probably hurt her, how hard it was for her to give him her heart and how he just disregarded it up until now. “Oh my god, CeeLo! Okay, I know I’ve been saying that all night, but I have to go! I have to check on her! CeeLo, thank you so much for this! Seriously, I owe you big," Adam said, standing up from the couch. “Yeah, Adam, I’ll always be here for you! And so will Blake," CeeLo said, not knowing the dark deed Blake committed that very night. “Go! Go tell her you love her and that you’re sorry! And you don’t owe me! The only thing I want you to do is keep loving her, she deserves someone good for her heart and you definitely are the one. I ship you guys anyway! Hahaa!" CeeLo laughed as he showed Adam to the door and he drove off.

As Adam was driving to Christina’s house, she was inside pacing back and forth not knowing what to do. Adam didn’t answer any of her urgent messages and how she said she needed to talk with him. She texted, she called, but Adam’s phone was turned off ever since he came to CeeLo’s house and remained off as he drove. “I can’t believe I just did that…I can’t believe I JUST DID THAT! He’s gonna kill me…Oh God, please…please don’t bring me back to my childhood…please…it’s all too much…" She sat down on the staircase and began to cry even more. She cried for forty five minutes, until she was interrupted by the doorbell.

She got up and walked towards the door, still numb from everything that happened that whole night. She turned the knob and gasped at who she saw. It was Adam. “Oh my God! Adam!" she said, as the tears she knew all too well began to stream down her face again. “Hey…hey…don’t cry anymore, Chrissy…I love you. It’s going to be okay…" he said, caressing her cheek and wiping the tears away. “No….no…Adam..you don’t know that…" she said, pushing his hand away. “You don’t know that everything is going to be okay…something happened..after you left…" she said, her crying beginning to escalate as she but her lip trying to stop it. “What…what do you mean?" he asked her. “I…kissed…Blake…" she said. Tears began to fall from both her and Adam’s faces as Christina prepared to put up even more walls to protect her heart and possibly never open up again.
