By: Nick Michael Parr
There was a sea of green.
Behind me, trees and shrubs.A gentle breeze
Touched summer's mane
Lightly waving.A bright blue heaven
Adjourned with its crown
Shown beams of light drifting slowly down.A melodious choir,
Bright chirps and whistles
Reach my ears
Through the forest's sharp thistles.A lake, lightly lapping
Somewhere in the wood,And a loud brash tapping
From a bird, dressed in his red hood.Suddenly, starlings swoop and swing.
They dance in the air and they sing. This place, this scene, this medley,
It is a comprehensive remedy.
