"Dakota! We have to go!" I yelled. "The rogues are getting closer!" to where we were hiding.

"No!" She cried. "I'm not leaving my parents!"

Both of our parents had just been killed by the rogues that attacked our pack. I was to busy trying to get the hell out of here that I couldn't mourn. The best I could do was drag them away from all of the carnage the rogues have done.

"I promise we'll come back to get them."

She growled at me. "We can't fucking come back. These stupid ass rogues will be waiting for us."

"Do you want to run with them on our backs after we shift," I said sarcastically. "I mean seriously Dakota, we have to get going." I choked on the next words that came out of my mouth. "We can't take our parents with us." I started pushing her away from her mom. "Come on."

"Ok." I could still see tears starting to run down her face.

Why are you doing this? We can't leave our parents. And we could totally take them. My wolf Ash said.

I don't want to get us killed. I replied.

I shifted into my greyish brown wolf, and I just started to run. I knew that Dakota's crimson colored wolf would catch up to me.

So I just kept running until I was too tired to run anymore.

When we finally stopped running from the rogues I shifted back, changed, and then cried until I couldn't anymore.

I think Dakota had already been crying while we were running. Because she just sat there staring at a tree.

Still in wolf form. Just staring into space.

How could this all just happen to us two when we were only thirteen.
