Greenclaw woke up to the smell of smoke. He quickly jumped up and ran outside. As soon as he came outside, all he could feel was the heat of the fire that seemed to be everywhere.
A large burning branch fell behind him in front of the warriors den. Now there was no way in or out of there.
He quickly ran to the apprentice den and looked for the apprentices. They were all gone. He looked in the nursery. Nobody there. Greenclaw was confused. Then he was engulfed in flames.
He immediately woke up. His fur around his face was soaked from sweat. As he looked around, he saw everycat there in the den just sleeping. Nothing was on fire, nothing was smokey, all was quiet.
Greenclaw quickly curled up into a ball and tried to go to sleep again. Sleep didn't come for the rest of the night.
