Jack loves cake. So I thought, I might make him a cake when he's gone and surprise him when he gets home. Making a cake is harder than you'd think. Or maybe it's just because I am a terrible baker. I don't know! Anyway, when I made the cake, I almost BURNED it. It was done in about 20 minutes and it took a few minutes to set it up.
I was left with about 3 minutes to do whatever I wanted. I just decided to lay down and rest for a few minutes. It startled me when Jack walked in.
I got up as quickly as possible and walked over to the cake. "SURPRISE!!" I shouted. "I know how you feel about cake, so...yeah! I made you one!"
"Oh, markimoo, you-you did this for me? I love you so much!" Jack said.
"I love you too, Jack."
Jack smiled and said "I'll make dinner and we'll have the cake for dessert."
I nodded.
