Ash

Alex's POV:

  I decided to take a walk in the new scenery. I just moved to Kentucky, lots of farms, and animals, I grew up in southern Maryland. My mom decided we should move here to get out of my past. So now I'm here, with no friends. I decided to go back home to talk to my mom about everything.
 
  "Mom? Are you home?" I asked going through the house. Then I settled my eyes on a note that my mom left.

   "Alex, I will be home in 5 weeks, I have a very important job, as you may know. I love you, and be safe. Love mom."

  I decided to sit outside, I fell asleep sitting in one of the tan chairs on the porch.

   "Um, hello? Wake up before I beat the shit out of you!"

  "Huh what where-" I was cut off.

   "I'm Ashley, but you can call me Ash for short. I didn't mean to startle you, or sound mean, I was just playing!" The girl with the wild look in her eyes smiled, as she curled her brownish-red hair.

   "Oh I'm Alex, I just moved here." I casually informed.

   "So where's your family?" Ash asked.

    "My mom is gone for 5 weeks, and my dad was abusive, so we left him."

    "That is fucked up, you were already abused, and then your mom gets a job that keeps her away from home? You can stay at my place, or I can stay here, like every once in awhile." Ash perked up.

   We sat in a comfortable silence for what seemed like 30 minutes.

   "Come on let's go!" Ash jumped up.

    I didn't question her, as I don't question anybody. 

   After Ash drove us in her Ford truck, that was dirty from mud, We arrived at a crowded place.

   "Where are we!" I started yelling to Ash, because the place was so loud.
  
    "Were at a party, duh!" Ash yelled back. "Have you not ever been to a party?"

    "Yeah I've been to my cousins birthday birthd-" Alex was cut off by Ash.

     "No pussy, I mean actual party-party?"
 
   "Then no I haven't."

    "You nasty little bitch!" Ash yelled.
