My life is as normal as the next. I have a routine day, basically:
Wake up
School
Homework
Dinner
Sleep
By the way, my name is Shawn Tyson Sanders, Jr. And it turns out that I do have a pretty special life. I just didn't know it yet.
I go to school just around the block. And like every other kid who lives in close proximity, I walk. You're more likely to find me biking over, though. Behind my house is a big field that leads to the street the school's on. I simply bike across and get to the school is a matter of a minute. I always meet my friend, Garret (or, Gary, as he's better known) in front of the school. He's been my friend since we were kindergarteners. I have almost all of my normal, bottom-of-the-line classes with him.
We arrive in Mr. Wendall's homeroom a couple minutes early. He welcomes us at the door. Mr. Wendall teaches science and was a genius when it came to natural phenomenons.
That day, in science, we studied the local weather patterns and learned how to predict weather. According to our investigations, there was a storm approaching our area. School that day flew by quickly. Gary and I fooled around at the school for a couple minutes before going home.
"See yeah!" I screamed as I was peddling as fast as my legs could go.
The wind was blowing wildly outside, and I sitting on the soft leather couch in our living room. The moonlight shown onto the coffee table where My unfinished homework sat.
"You finished your homework, yet?"
"Yeah." I replied reluctantly as I snatched my paper up. I shoved it into my folder. I glanced over a the clock to find that the time was already 10:27.
"Night, mom." I said sleepily.
She kissed the top of my head before I slumped into my bed. I dosed off to sleep and left this normal world...
