As I was walking out of my class at the end of the day, I was not expecting to be yanked to the side and enveloped in huge strong arms. But the moment I caught a whiff of his cologne, I knew it was my loving boyfriend of the past two months, so, obviously, I wasn't mad anymore. He finally released me and I smiled up into his vibrant hazel eyes. He flashed me his signature dimpled smile and pushed his hand through his wavy chocolate hair,
"Hey, baby," He said before kissing me softly on the lips,
"Hey, I thought you had football practice directly after school?"
"I do, but I just wanted to say good bye before you went home. Coach is going to have my ass for this, but you're worth it. I hope you know how lucky you are to have a boyfriend as amazing as me,"
I laughed and smacked his shoulder,
"Modesty becomes you, Eli,"
He grinned and kissed me again quickly,
"You good for a ride home today?"
I nodded, having organized a ride home with my friends as opposed to driving with him like I had been doing for the past four months,
"Good, and you're still coming to my game tomorrow, right?"
I smiled at the excitement in his eyes, it wouldn't be the first of his games that I would be going to, but he was super excited for this one since it was for the state championship,
"Of course I'll be there, now get going. I'd prefer to date a football player without being accused of necrophilia,"
"Yeah, you're right, coach is gonna kill me if I don't get going now,"
He wrapped his strong arms around my tiny frame and kissed me until I was left breathless and flustered,
"Bye, baby, I'll call you after practice,"
After one more kiss he ran off back to the field and I could only smile at the way things were between us. I could never understand what Eli saw in me. He requested to have me as his tutor a few months ago and started flirting with me shamelessly, I didn't trust his advances at first and it took him months before he got me to say yes to going on a date with him. After that, things just flowed so well. Being with Eli was as easy as breathing for me and I couldn't deny that I was falling hard and fast.
Smiling to myself, I headed out to go find my group of friends, who were all dating Eli's group of friends too. Funny, how life works out sometimes,
"Becka, hold on there for a second,"
I nearly groaned when the voice of the school's queen bee reached me. I just wanted to increase my speed and rush as far away from her as I could, but she would eventually corner me so I just had to deal with it.
I stopped in my tracks on the way to the parking lot and turned around to face Cory. I didn't like this girl one bit, partly because she was mean, and mostly because she had a huge thing for Eli. He had to fight off her advances more than once before.
"What, Cory? I'm in a hurry,"
She smirked and smoothed down the tiny piece of fabric she called a dress,
"Oh, you'll want to make time for what I have to say,"
I gestured for her to continue and get it over with,
"I'm not a terrible person, Becky. I've been watching you with Eli and I feel that this game has gone on for long enough,"
I sighed heavily, already tired of her attempts at manipulating my relationship with Eli,
