Hi, I'm Elise's best friend, Annie, and she asked me to post stuff that she writes in her down time (her last post was actually me posting her letter to you guys). She says that there isn't much down time but when there is she uses it to collect her thoughts by writing. None of the stories or story ideas are real missions but they are based off of what she has experienced so far. She has been gone for almost three weeks already and we all miss her very much. Here is what she wrote in her last letter to you guys:
"Hey hey hey readers, I am now officially in Iraq. It is hot as hell here and dry as my grandma's roast beef (sorry grandma but it's true)! My biggest trouble over here is keeping everybody hydrated so they don't pass out! Before any of you ask, yes I've been in two firefights already (close to several more) and no, nobody got hurt (unless you count sunburn getting hurt).
Annie so graciously agreed to post whatever I send to her in an effort to keep you guys involved and me distracted from anything bad that happens over here. She is the "bestest" friend anyone could hope for. She also might post some of her own writing on here (she's really good) so please giver her some encouragement! Also, if you have any questions for me respond to any of my "letters" and Annie will mail them to me! Thanks all for your encouragement!"
Elise is doing what many of use wouldn't or couldn't do, serving her country bravely. If any of you have words of encouragement for her please feel free to private message them or even comment on this post and I will make sure she gets them in my next letter!
