Lisa's POV:
"Great party, Lisa." Josh, an old ex boyfriend back in the day, complemented. It was currently a Tuesday night and school had just finished hours ago. I rolled my eyes and continued to sip my red wine and listen to the music play in the dining area. I wondered if Alex showed up, he seemed to not have liked me only because of Jenny.
Ugh, Jenny. I hate hearing that name.
Jenny this, Jenny that. It's all that mattered to Alex. I don't know how a skank like her is even related to someone beautiful such as Alex Gaskarth. They should really decide to rename her Jenny Gastank, because haha, I come up with the most funny names.
I organized a party only because Alex and the rest of his band mates never turn down a good party. I was always complemented like just a few moments ago that I throw great parties. I invite the usuals at my parties, not losers like Jenny.
I continued to sip my wine and think about how much I despise Jenny when suddenly someone screamed.
"Cops!"
I rushed over to the kitchen and downed my wine, throwing the glass in the sink, and rushing out the door. I never had once got a complaint from someone nearby or having the cops come by and stop the party. I decided to run and ditch the cops, but I didn't exactly have the running type shoes.
My neighbors had thought it was a good idea to build a wooden fence just so Penny, their poodle, wouldn't run away during the day when they let her outside to either play or poop. Today wasn't such a good idea to have that wooden fence there. I heard screaming and yelling from inside the house and decided the only thing was to jump their fence.
After five attempts from trying to lift myself up, I felt arms snake around my waist and haul me up. Of course, I knew those muscular arms anywhere.
"You didn't need to help me, Josh." I couldn't really see his face in the dark, but he just chuckled, his toned body moving up and down.
"You always need help." I couldn't answer, not before I heard the door to the garage jingle, meaning that the cops were heading outside and I needed to get going.
"How are you getting out, Josh?" I give props to Josh, he was actually arrested three times, twice for drinking and driving, and the third for getting in a fist fight. And he was still standing and breathing.
"I know my ways." I don't know if he saw it, but I smiled. I broke it off with him because he had cheated on me a while back but he'd turned out to be a really sweet guy. The only problem was that I had strong feelings towards Alex now, and nobody else.
After successfully getting on the other side of the fence, I felt like I had just stepped in dog poop. I knew I was going to get yelled at later for the shoes and the party but I had to get away from the cops.
And I knew just the person.
Jenny's POV:
"Where are we going?" I laughed, Jack holding onto my hand for dear life. We had just gotten out of his car and I'm surprised we're actually in two pieces. We were walking towards an abandoned warehouse, somewhere far away from the beautiful city of Baltimore.
"You'll see. Now, close your eyes." Jack laughed, I did what he said but he must have not believed me, putting his own hands over my face.
"Hey!"
"Sorry, it's for your own good." Jack laughed, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the building. I had no idea what this boy had up his sleeve.
"And....open your eyes."
I gasped. The room was dark, nothing could be seen except the table in the middle of the room, and two lit candles with plates and utensils. I could hear soft music of Blink 182 playing in the background and knew it was I Miss You.
I didn't know it but I felt Jack prick the tears off my cheeks with his thumb. He led me towards the table and I felt like I was on cloud 9, everything was so perfect and the night hasn't even started. Jack moved the chair back for me and I nodded my head, sitting down.
"This is so beautiful, Jack. I-" He touched his finger on my lips and shushed me, laughing, he snapped his fingers and waited until Zack had came out, wearing the most goofy tuxedo I have ever seen. I knew I couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing, Jack smiling his goofy grin, and Zack, not so very much happy.
"He paid me twenty bucks to do this, I swear." Zack mumbled, I noticed he was carrying a plate with two glasses of wine, 2 slices of french bread, and two napkins. Even though we were underage for wine, and god knows how they even got the wine, I still was happy for the night. Zack put down the plate and passed over the glasses to us.
"What would you like to have?" Zack asked, eyeing both of us. I looked over at Jack and he nodded, letting me go first.
"Uh, what do you guys have?" I was trying not to laugh, this wasn't even supposed to be a resturaunt. Zack looked at the random menu he must have pulled out of his ass and handed it over to me.
Meals:
Peanut Butter and Jelly
Peanut Butter and Jelly
Peanut Butter and Jelly
I laughed at the menu choices and decided to get Peanut Butter and Jelly. Jack nodded and agreed to have the same. These boys are in high school and STILL don't know how to cook. Lord, help us.
"It'll be only a few moments, please, enjoy the soft music." Zack said, sounding so proper. I laughed and heard the stereo turn up. The next song was of course, a Blink 182 song, First Date. I thought that was so ironic.
I could see Zack on the other side of the room, making the sandwiches, and Jack looked over at me laughing.
"Let's throw something at him." I opened my mouth to protest, but I was too late. Jack had pulled off a piece of his bread and threw it at Zack.
"Dude, I didn't come here to have bread thrown at me." Zack sighed, making Jack even laugh harder. I rolled my eyes at the both of them. Sometimes you just wonder how they live with themselves.
Zack had finally walked over and handed us the sandwiches. I began eating and saw Jack not even touching his food, just looking at his plate.
"How are we going to pull this off, Jenny? I want to be with you, really, but I don't know what Alex is going to think." I sighed, putting down my sandwich, and grabbing his hand.
"It'll be fine, Jack. Let's just enjoy this date, okay? This is honestly one of the best first real dates I have ever had." He opened his mouth to speak, but shut it, and smiled. He grabbed my hand and started kissing my knuckles.
"I have another surprise for you."
