(Flashback five years ago outside the Sneeie family house)
I finally finished putting together my high powered sniper rifle. I calibrated the scope and aimed at my target.
The next heir to the Sneeie dust company.
Wiess Sneeie.
Personally I think this hit isn't right. I have to kill a girl with a dream of making the kingdom a better place. It just isn't right...but I have to follow orders.
I look down my scope and watch her walk into her room. I calculate wind speed and load a round into the chamber. I looked down my sights again and see something that completely changed my viewpoint about what I was doing.
I saw her crying into her pillow...just laying there crying. Then...she took out a razor blade.
I was shocked that a girl that could have anything she wanted was actually cutting herself. I started to feel sorry for her...so I decided not to kill her but to help her.
I calibrated my scope once more and aimed for my new target...the razor blade. I aimed a little bit above the razor to calculate for the bullet drop. I pull the rifle stock tight to my shoulder so I didn't break my collar bone. Then i slowly start to squeeze the trigger...then the shot was fired and i stay looking down the scope.
I see the razor get hit and fly out of her hand, and she looks out the window with fear in her eyes. She runs out of her room and i start packing up my rifle and disappear.
(end of flashback)
"And thats what really happened Wiess." i said after i told her the story. everyone around us just stared at wiess who just stared at me in shock.
"you...you stopped me from hurting myself?" wiess asked me still in shock.
"thats right wiess...i wanted to help. but if you want to kill me for what my former brothers wanted to do...i wouldnt blame you." i say and prepare myself for the worst. i close my eys and just waitfor death to take me.
"no...i wont kill you." wiess said as i heard her put her sword in its sheath. "i will help you like you helped me."
i opened my eyes and give her a little smile. "thank you wiess."
i look around and see everyone staring at me in fear. i was about to run when i felt a hand on my left shoulder. i look and see the headmaster looking at me in my eyes.
"so mister black...do you want to start school...or to run from it?" he asked me with a straight face.
i look at yang, ruby, wiess, and blake to see them all smiling at me. "i want to start school...with team RWBY." i say looking at the headmaster in his eyes.
"well...i have to say i am alittle shocked. but would team RWBY like you on their team?" he asked looking over at the girls.
they all looked at each other and smiled.
"we would like crimson black on our team." yang said then they all came over to me and hugged me.
i hugged them all back and the headmaster smiled at us.
"than it is settled crimson black is now an official member of team RWBBY." i smiled bigger and hugged them tighter.
then...i felt him again.
'hmp...they will dispise you crimson...when they neet me...they will hate you.'
i flinched after hearing him. but i ignored him and just kept hugging my teammates.
