Nothing To Lose

Chapter 2

Finally school was over and I was free to go home. I had no clue how to find my way back home though, but luckily I bumped into Max and he said that he would drive me back home. "Just give me a few minutes, I gotta do something really quick" said Max as he quickly jogged away.

Not even 5 minutes after he left, a bunch of girls surrounded me and started questioning me and making false statements, "You are so lucky! Max usually only goes after the popular girls that are really hot",  "How did you get him to talk to you?",  "Who the hell are you? I've never seen you before until now. You can't just walk in here and act like he's yours because he's NOT!"

"Um, do I know you?" I asked, staring blankly at the 5 girls in front of me. "Okay, so clearly this chick is new here." stated this blond girl. "Yes, I am new to this school and Max was not going after me" I replied, in the nicest tone possible.

"Hey, Brooklyn, lets go!" shouted Max as he past me, headed towards the parking lot. I ran after him and got into his car. "Looks like someone is miss popular" said Max with a wink, driving out of school grounds. "Um, no. I didn't really make any friends, unless you count the girl that borrowed my pencil in math class today."  "What about those girls that you were talking to just before we left?" questioned Max.

"Oh, they just walked up to me and started saying random shit 'cause they thought that I was your girlfriend or something" I answered, turning on the radio to prepare for the awkward silence that was about  to come. "Oh......." mumbled Max. Right then and there is when things got awkward.

We soon reached home and I just wenty up to my room. Today was not the greatest but it wasn't the worst. I didn't make any friends, but for that matter, people would have needed to notice me in order for me to make friends with them.

After doing my homework, chatting with my mom, and eating dinner, I took a shower and headed to bed.
