"This is Michonne and Carl." the man said.

I just looked at them. Stunned because mostly people ignored my presense considering they saw that I was either pregnant or had a baby. It's really messed up if you think about it.

"What's your name?" the woman with the dreadlocks said.

I just looked, like I said I didn't know these people. They could hurt me, or Lacy.

"We aren't going to hurt you." the boy said as they put away there weapons.

I was uttertly shocked at the way they were acting. They didn't even know me and put there weapons away.

"How do I know you're not going to hurt me, or my daughter?" I said.

"We have a camp. It's not to far from here. It's safe. We have fences, shelter, food, medical care. You and the baby will be safe there. But you can only come if you answer 3 questions for us and tell us your name." the man said.

A camp? Shelter? Supplies? Medical care? I'll see what's it's like. If something goes wrong I'll sneak off during the night.

"Skylar. My name is Skylar and this is my daughter Lacy." I said.

"How many walkers have you killed?" the man asked me.

How many what? Walkers? What the crap is a walker?

"What is a walker?" I asked.

"The dead ones." the boy said.

"Oh, um. A couple dozen at the least." I said.

"How many people have you killed?" the man said.

"2." I said.

"Why." the man said.

I just started at him. Tears brimming in my eyes as I thought about my parents. They were bit. They looked at me and told me to. I begged them. But they told me to. So I did it. I shot them. I cried and cried. But, I had to stay strong for Mark. But now he is gone. I looked at them. They were obviously waiting for me to answer.

"They were my parents. They were bit and they told me too." I said tears threatening to spill from my eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Skylar." the man said.

"Come on. We were just heading back to our camp." the man said, motioning towards the vehicle.

I hesitated at first but then I slowly started walking to the car. I sat in the back beside the boy.

"We have another baby at our camp." the boy said.

"Really?" I said.

"Yes, she is my little sister and Rick, he is my dad." he said.

"What is her name?" I asked.

"Judith. Dad let me name her." he said.

"Carl, when we get back to the prison I need your help unloading the guns." Rick said.

"The prison?" I said looking at Rick very confused.

"Yes, our camp is a prison." Rick said.

"So how long have you been out there?" the girl with the dreadlocks said.

"Since the beginning. My brother and I got out of the city and found a house out in the country. My brother and I got seperated on a run to get more supplies." I said.

"So how old are you?" Carl asked me.

"14, you?"

"14." he said.

When he said that we rolled up to the gates of a prison and entered what I would guess was the courtyard. Everyone but me got of the car, then Rick motioned me to get out and I did.

"Guys this is Skylar and Lacy. We found her and her baby on the rode alone. She is going to be staying with us."

I just stared. A blonde girl, a man with only one leg, a man with a cross bow, a Korean looking guy, a girl with short Brown hair, and a older lady with grayish hair and a baby. They didn't have a big group. But at least they had a group.

"You cleared out this prison by yourself?" I asked.

"Yes, but we lost people." the man with one leg said.

"I'm sorry, I know how it feels to lose the ones you loved." I said looking down.

Then my stomach growled again. And a breeze came through making me shiver.

"Here, why dont you and lacy come inside and get something to eat, and we will get you some warmer clothes?" the girl with the short Brown hair said.

"Thank you." I said following her.

We entered a cell block and there was noodles on a stove. She put some into a bowl and handed me a spoon and the bowl and I immediately started eating. But then Lacy started crying. I got up and noticed that I needed to change her diaper I reached into my bag and was stopped by the girl.

"My name is Maggie by the way, and if you don't mind I'll take her and change her so you can eat."

She seemed so nice. And I felt something inside of me that told me that I can trust these people. So I handed Lacy over to Maggie. And went and sat back down eating my noodles but still watching Maggie in case she tried something. But she didn't. After she got done changing her she picked her up and rocked her having her fall asleep. Just then everyone came into the cell block.

"Skylar, this is Beth, Hershal,
Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Carol, and Judith." Rick said to me.

"Carol, could you get her some warmer and more comfortable clothes, and show her and Lacy to a open cell?" Rick said.

"Come on sweetie." she said as I took Lacy is my arms. She walked over to a basket pulling out some black leggings and a maroon sweatshirt and some socks, then she handed me a white onesie with stars on it for Lacy. Then she handed me 2 blankets and a large box, and a black sheet.

"What is the blanket, box, and sheet for?" I asked her.

"The box is what you can put Lacy in the thicker blanket is what you put in the box so she can lay down in it, the other blanket is for you and the black sheet is what you can put over the cell door to keep the light out in the morning." she said.

"Now follow me." she said leading me to a empty cell.

I walked in and saw a bed. A bed. My own bed. "I hope you have a good nights sleep Skylar." Carol said exiting the cell. The sun was setting so I put up the black sheet over the door. After that I took a baby wipe and wiped off Lacy and changed her and fed her then out her in her new onesie. I then slowly rocked her back to sleep putting her in her "crib" Then I took a baby wipe and tried to wipe my body down as good as I can then changed into my new clothes. I then layed down on my new bed.

"You can trust these people" a voice in my head told me.

For once in the past I don't even know how many months I'm laying down in a bed, not a tree. I'm not going to sleep hungry, or scared. I'm going to sleep, safe.
