Night came close, and you were headed back to the cozy cave you called home. You hoped the young dragoness you rescued was okay. She had been sleeping for a while and you wanted to check up on her current state. You could easily seek out a little night dinner for the two of you, knowing that a lot of nocturnal creatures come out at night. As the sun was now hidden by the earth, the stars started to gleam and twinkle above you. Flying at night was the best, even better when you'd get to see the northern lights.
Scanning around the landscape for food, your night vision orbs were glued to the land below you. You suddenly caught sight of another pair of glowing eyes. Your nostrils flared and you suspected it was a deer or even a moose. Diving down swiftly, your talons opened and you viciously attacked the mammal and successfully killed it. You let out a short huff and carried your kill off to your cave.

Lukas slid off his horse and headed in to his family's residence. He entered and immediately spoke out.
"I have news." He spoke with his same neutral voice but with a hint of satisfaction to it. The other four stopped to give their attention with curiosity on their faces. Matthias being the one with the smug look, and Sweden as plain as ever.
"Haha welcome back Luke! I thought you were carried off-" Before the obnoxious Matthias could finish he was cut off from being elbowed in the side by Lukas's younger brother, Emil.
Lukas took his cloak off his shoulders and rolled his eyes. "Idiot.. Anyways, earlier I was riding up to The North Coast on one of the fjords to go and play violin, as usual and-"
"Did you see big foot?!"
"Matthias shut up, let him finish." Tino scolded"-...I laid eyes on a..(dragon breed.)"
His family members gave him the unbelievable, yet amazed look. He didn't normally blurt out what he was doing after coming home from somewhere, only because Matthias would be talking about it over and over again. Though it was pretty important and it was something that has not happened often. Especially if it was a rare species of a dragon.
"Whoaa! Luke why do you get all the luck!? Those things are so rare, are you sure it wasn't just a figment of your imagination?" The Danish man said. This time a little more serious in his question, but Lukas only sighed and didn't answer for a hot minute.
"..I-... don't know. She just came out of nowhere. I wonder if that was the last of them?"
His dull eyes shifted to the floor. He didn't know if he could believe himself either. But what he did know was that it was for real that he saw that big and graceful creature.Tino looked over to Lukas. "Its hard to trust dragons, especially the one you saw. A rare species like that could mean several things. One, if they are endangered and being often killed by dragon slayers, that could only make them more aggressive and bound to kill a human right there on the spot. Two, other huntsmen could be onlooking for one of them for riches and cash. Three, they are probably the highest, and most respected species.
The Swede nodded in agreement with Tino. "S'me'ne will m'st l'kely b' 'fter it"
Matthias gave a slight frown in disapproval. "Our royal highness doesn't allow dragon hunting though, the village is completely harmless to their species. So what if the dragons stayed here in these lands and could remain unharmed by other village's armies and huntsmen?"
Emil glanced at Matthias "For once you actually said something informative."
Lukas sighed. "No.. We have no control over them..Plus we are not exactly at peace here. Other kingdoms, and villages have been at eachother about the whole hobby and the laws of the land. Our King has been stating that our close allies, Aldford and Erihal, have had many rebels disobeying the rules and regulations, so they were thrown in prison for breaking them. Since then, we have been getting complaints and everyone wanted the glory of killing such a creature. People were being robbed of their merchandise and other belongings, just because they didn't have the right to kill a dragon. The whole alliance fell. We were the ones to blame for only wanting peace between man and beast."
Everyone once again shared glances at eachother. They knew their kindom had been getting bad vibes from other places and they knew that they would not allow themselves to loose their home and land to other places who didn't approve of laws or generally just wanted to take over their village.
Tino brought his hand up to rub his temples. "This has been an obvious reason why none of the other villages wanted to join sides with us..We can't go on if everyone is just gonna cause riots, and arguments. Who knows who might take advantage of us. Some unknown kingdom could use us as bait to others and destroy our home and take our King."
"That will not happen and I will not let it happen. You all understand completely that the headmaster of our village is creating more and more strategies with the King. He will give further instructions for our community in order to keep the peace and keep our stay at this land." Lukas gave a bold look at each of them. His deep blue eyes serious as ever.
Emil nodded to his brother. "We understand this brother. It's not that hard to."
"How about we put this aside for now and have some dinner." Tino suggested as he walked over to the nicely set table with the food still steaming and warm. "I cooked us up some fish, chicken soup, and potatoes."
Matthias immediately jolted to the table and abruptly sat down as Tino began serving to each plate. Everyone else gathered to the table and took their seats as well, without being overly-excited like Matthias of course.
For the rest of the night Lukas wouldn't stop thinking about the mysterious creature that he saw today. The dragon that was highly rare, elegant, and most valuable. He promised himself he'd spot you again and maybe get to approach you. Eye to eye with a dragon doesn't seem like a bad idea to him.

I am very sorry for the long wait on this chapter, I really need to stop doing this to my fan-fiction stories. It's like a writer's block but now it seems like a writer's virus for all I know. I need to keep in touch with this so I don't loose my plot ideas and everything else. Including my imagination because obviously my imagination sucks. :c Thanks for reading and chapter 4 is on it's way.
