"Aww raven come on! Don't be shy" Wally hollered from the bottom of the elegantly structured staircase of the Wayne Manor.

"Raveeen we are waiting for youu!", Beastboy sang as he joined in to Wally's attempt of pressuring the young lady to join them.

The team of heroes knew how to clean up quite well, yet anxiety rose in the room as all of the eyes of the most important people in the city awaited the presence of the main muse of the whole "clown show"; as she called it.

"Raven, they are all looking this way!" Donna whispered as she vigorously zipped up her friend's ridiculously tight dress.

"Ouch watch it! And I know! Ugh!" Raven felt the pressure of it all as it seemed to enclose her in a place she was not at all comfortable in.

"Look you'll be fine. Keep your back straight and remember one foot in front of the other as you walk down the stairs; the last thing we need is for your makeup to rub off on the floor." Donna gave Raven a reassuring nod and smile as she pivoted raven towards the top of the staircase and into everyone's view.

Her heartbeat quickened as the blinding lights hit her. The vast room fell into an overwhelming silence-which caused heat to flush her face and she felt as beet red.

As her eyes adjusted she saw how crowded the room really was and was frozen. Surprisingly, all of this was in the span of 5 seconds, yet she felt an overwhelming embarrassment.

"Ladies and gentlemen; I present onto you, Raven." Dick was quick to try to break the silence which threatened to end in a disaster, and possibly saved Raven from a rather unforgettably painful memory.

Dick succeeded, as claps broke out and quickly filled the ears of everyone. Raven scanned the room once more, examining the smiles that also broke out and attempting to hide a shy smirk of her own.

She took her first step downward, remembering Donna's advice.
Breathe. She reminded herself as she proceeded with caution. Back straight.

She delicately placed one hand on the beautifully carved staircase railing, and supported her dress with the other. She had to admit the dress was beyond words; bright red with diamond singeing at the waist and a slit that exposed her sturdy left leg. Of course she could never admit she adored the dress, as that would be a sign of tolerance, which she was trying to stay clear of - well of course except at that very moment.

Her eyes met Beastboy's, and she felt her rosy blush begin to creep up on her cheeks as she saw beast boy's awestruck expression. Her eyes trailed to his arms, which were linked with another's- Terra. Remembering yet another reason she detested being dragged into this. Before she could begin to turn to head in avoidance of the painful thoughts that were submerging, she felt a ball in her throat as the room seemed to be falling.

Everyone gasped. Her dress felt as if it were being pulling down , and she definitely was not expecting the soft landing she fell into.

" ah ...are you alright?" The deep voice wavered as if stifling in a chuckle.

Oh God. Lifting her head from the comfort of his chest, she couldn't hide the face of terror that washed over her.

"A-I...yeaah" she was lost for words as all that rang in her head was to run out before anything worse were to happen.

An unfamiliar face stared down at her and she couldn't help but soften her features. This man was beautiful no doubt, but of course she could never admit to that . Instead she huffed in frustration of herself .
