I get up, I go to the bathroom, take a shower, and get dressed. By the time my breakfast is ready, there's a knock at the door. I go answer it. It's my three best friends, Caroline Forbes, Elena Gilbert, and Bonnie Bennett. "Are you ready for the first/last day of school?" Caroline asks me. "Yeah, I guess so." I say back. Caroline has a nice curvy, skinny body, and long blonde hair, with piercing blue eyes. She can be really sweet, or a total bitch, if she doesn't like you. Elena is average height, has long brown hair, and warm chocolate brown eyes. She is really nice, to anyone she meets. Bonnie is slender and has mid-night black hair, and dark brown eyes. There's this thing in Bonnie's family. Her grandmother told her that her family is descended from witches. Weird, I know. I am average height, have a slender body and long black hair, with blue eyes. I am kind of like Elena in a way. I am really nice, but if you hurt any of my friends, I will kill you. I hear footsteps coming behind me, I turn around and see my mom and sister coming to the door. "Have a great day, honey, remember, it's your senior year, don't miss any opportunities." My mom says as she hugs me.
"I won't." I say as she hugs me.
"Oh, and be nice to your sister." Mom says to me.
"I will." I say and start to walk away with my friends.
" I can't believe that this is our last year together." Caroline says.
"Hey, it's not our last year together, we are still going to be best friends, even in college." I say back. We are almost at the school when Matt Donovan walks over. He's Elena's boyfriend. He's also one of our best friends. All our parents were best friends growing up. I guess that's what happens when you live in a small town. We live in Mystic Falls, and everybody knows everyone, and every secret there is. You can't hide any secrets in this town.
"OMG!" Caroline yells, as she grabs my arm.
"Ow, that hurt!" I say as I give her a stern look.
"Look at him." She says and points. Standing over there is one of the hottest guys I have ever seen in my life. He's tall, and has spiky brown hair, and is wearing sunglasses. He's wearing a leather jacket, and jeans. He seems laid back, cool. I like that.
"Who is that?" I say.
" I don't know, but he has a cute ass." Bonnie says. We all start laughing and walk into the school.
"Hey, where did Elena go?" I ask.
"She's probably with Matt." Bonnie says. "Has she talked to you? At all?" Bonnie asks me.
" I'm going to go find my classes, see you in either class, or cheer practice."Caroline says to me, and walks away.
"Bonnie, her parents died, she's gonna need time to heal. I know it's been 5 months, but you can't get over both parents dying. Besides, she probably still thinks it's her fault. Why was she the one to survive, and not her parents? She's probably asking herself all of these questions." I said.
" I know, but I want her to know that she can come and talk to me." Bonnie said. I looked around Bonnie, and saw Elena going into the boys bathroom.
"Wait a minute," I said and walked away.
"Where are you going, Marissa?" Bonnie yelled after me. I walked into the boys bathroom to find Elena yelling at her younger brother Jeremy.
" Really, Jeremy? You're smoking pot again?" She yelled as she grabbed the joint from him, holding it in the air.
"Can't you just leave me alone, it's my life, I don't care....."
"Oh really? Mom and Dad are DEAD, Jeremy. Or do you not care anymore?"
