The next day, I wake up. I look around my room, and feel like someone was watching me. I don't remember a lot about last night. I feel like there are some pieces missing, like someone erased the last five minutes of my memory. Something doesn't feel right, and I have a feeling that its because of Stefan. I get out of bed, and get dressed. I go downstairs, grab a piece of toast and leave for school. I open my door and look up. Stefan is standing there. He chuckles.
"Sorry, I was going to knock." He says .
"Oh no, it's fine." I say back.
"I was going to ask you, if you would like to walk with me to school." He asks me.
"Uh, sure." I say. looking around.
"Marissa here's the mon-." My mom stops when she sees Stefan.
"Hi, I'm uh Prue, Marissa's mom." She says.
"Mom, this is Stefan. He's new to our school." I explain.
"I see, anyways, here is your money for student fees, and I will see you later." Mom says handing me the money, and leaving for work. We start to walk to school, when Matt comes over.
"Hey, have you seen Elena?" Matt asks
"No, I haven't. Maybe she hasn't left yet?" I suggest.
"Maybe." He says looking up at Stefan.
"I'm Matt." He says, extending his hand out towards Stefan.
"Stefan." He says, taking his hand.
"You know," Matt starts. "The football team could use someone like you." He says.
"No, no, I'm fine."Stefan says.
"What's the matter, don't play sports?" Matt says.
" I do, I uh just don't like football that much." Stefan explains. I start laughing.
"Really, cause uh, the football team, has the hottest cheerleaders." Matt says. "Just ask Marissa." He says and walks away.
"You're a cheerleader?" Stefan asks me.
"Yes, and so is Elena." I say back. " I think you should at least try out for the team. They do kinda suck, maybe your the person they need." I say and walk away. I walk into the school where Bonnie, Elena, and Caroline are.
"So, it seems you two hit it off." Elena says.
"What? Me and Stef- No. He just wanted to talk to me. That's all. And why do you care anyways? You have Matt, remember?" I say.
"I don't care." Elena says.
"Really? Then why did you invite Stefan to dinner, and not Matt?" I ask.
"I was just trying to be nice!" Elena shouts at me. I walk away and go to class. I sit at my desk. in front of Matt, when someone sit beside me. I turn around and Stefan is sitting there.
"Is this seat taken?" He asks. I shake my head and turn away. Why was Elena acting like this? She wasn't acting at all like herself. Something was going on, and I had to find out what was going on. I had a feeling that this somehow has to do with Stefan, but I wasn't quite sure.
"Hey, Marissa, we're all going to the Mystic Grill, tonight, you in?" Matt asks me.
"Uh, yeah sure." I say as I turn around. I look into his deep blue eyes. We have been friends since we were 3 years old. I know that sometimes friendships don't last that long, but this one has. I have a feeling we'll be friends forever. I turn around.
"Hey all of us are going to the Mystic Grill tonight, you wanna come?" I ask Stefan.
"I guess I can come for a little bit." He says with a smile forming on his face. I look up and see this girl I know. Her name is Kelsey. She is dating Dante. He is also in our grade, and is super rich. He is tall, tan, has muscles, has black hair, and brown eyes. Kelsey is average height, blonde hair, and blue eyes. They come walking over.
