Zane's Pov

It was a class trip.  Our whole class went out camping.  As I climbed out of the bus, my friend Adriana started admiring the forest.  True it was beautiful, but not as beautiful as Adriana.  She had perfect features.  Gosh, I really do like her.  But in her eyes, we’re just friends.  Some of my favorite things about her is her long brown hair, emerald eyes, a perfect model complexion, rose colored lips, and her cheek bones were almost as defined as Johnny Depp’s.  She was also very fit too.  She always says she is not so fit, but she is.  I’ve seen her play sports, and she plays like a pro.  She had a thin stature, and very tall.  Luckily, I’m taller than her by five inches.  She’s sweet, kind, down to earth, and nerdy, with her big glasses and ponytail.  I as I admire her features, we start to hike towards our camping spot.  When we stop for a break, I hear an annoying shriek coming from no other than Courtney Williams.  Man that girl annoys me.  All that happened was that she saw the tiniest snake on her bag.  Adriana walked over and casually placed it somewhere else. Gosh.  I loved her courage and bravery.  Although, it was really tiny.  Courtney shrieked again for no apparent reason.  Ugggg!  That girl will do anything to get attention.  I’ve seen her try all the time.  And that’s not the only reason why she annoys me.  She is always picking on the “lower class” at my school.  You know.  The people who aren’t as popular or good looking, but I could name over seven billion people who look better than Courtney.  The person she picks on the most though, was Adriana.  She is always taking her friends away from her.  Cindy and I wouldn’t fall into the trap though.  We stayed by Adriana’s side.

We decided to walk for awhile and admire the forest.  We hiked for a bit, and I was trying really hard to stay away from Courtney.  I had to run up the trail along with my best friend Billy Hunter, just to make sure she’s not on my heels.  I was right behind Adriana and Cindy, since they were in front of the trail with no problem.

“Dude!”  Billy whispers. “Look at Cindy’s butt!  It’s hot right?”

I elbowed him hard in the arm and he winced as he rubbed his arm.  When we all finally reached our campsite, our camp counselor Mr. Olives started to set up the tents while everyone else set up a campfire.  The rest of that day was all about relaxation, as we ate and sang campfire songs.  I even got to play my guitar.  Pretty soon, Mr. Olives decided to tell scary stories, so he went first.

“There once was a little boy named Francis.  He used to be bullied so much.  Kicked, punched, and the worst of all, he was a swirley magnet.  No one would ever help him.  Until one day, when two jerks were throwing perfectly good broccoli at him, a beautiful girl named Sally Jackson stomps over, her little pigtails hopping.  She grabbed both boys by the ear and threw them into the gross chocolate pudding.  She carried me,- uh I mean him off.  Twenty three years later they got married.  They now live happily ever after in a peach colored house with circular windows, a cat, two grown kids, and a station wagon.  Oh and they live on Applewood St.”

I placed my fist to my lips trying not to laugh.  Mr. Olives had just described the story of his marriage.  My friend Billy went next.

“There was a young couple.  They were newlyweds on their honey moon.  They drove to this same exact spot.  Same campsite too.  They were so happy to be here.  Especially because they had a baby due soon.  Little did they know that going there was the biggest mistake of their lives.  The baby was coming.  They had to drive home.  But when they got to their parking spot, their car was gone.  They searched and searched but it was nowhere to be found.  Then all of a sudden, they heard a strange heavy breathing behind them.  Then a drop of mud fell on their shoulders.  They turned around only to find behind them the terrifying Swamp Bride.   And then, they screamed so loud.  But it was too late.  The swamp bride swallowed them whole.  Before the swamp bride left, she found a small infant on the ground crying.  At first she tried to eat it but she had fallen in love with it.  She decided to raise it.  One day when the child was big enough, she ran for the hills leaving the swamp bride behind.  Now, whenever kids or married couples vacation or camp here, the swamp bride eats them, in despair of losing her only child.”
