It was raining the whole way back to Flynn's house. The drops on the window falling, one after the other. "How's your music going?" Asked Flynn. "Yeah, it's good, I have a..." I started.
"You have a what?"
"Well, I HAD a music scholarship at Parkland High."
"Oh, sorry."
"It's fine." There was short silence, I then got the nerve to ask if we could put music on. "Oi Flynn, can we please put music on?" I asked. "Of course" he replied. I plugged my phone into the car and started playing music. We both started jamming out to the latest hits. It was so fun! Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Halsey!! We had the best time in the car. The two hours flew by quickly. We arrived. Flynn had a massive house, it was three story's high and he said it had 6 bedrooms, he said that he already had one set up for me. He carried my bags of the things I brought from the shops. He lead me to my room and put the bags on the large king sized bed. The room was huge. It had a giant walk-in-room and bathroom. He left me alone, to let me get settled. I took all my new clothes out of the bags and hung them up on the hangers in the walk-in-room. I think I need to go shopping again, these clothes aren't going to do me, I need more. I need a guitar too, I lost that in the fire. I lost everything in the fire. Even my music I wrote, all those hours of work ruined.

About an hour later Flynn knocked on my door. "You're size 12 aren't you?" He asked. "Umm, yeah, why?" I replied.
"This is your new school uniform."
"School, already?"
"Yes, school. Now try it on and see if it fits."
"Okay."
I looked at the uniform. It was ugly as. I guess I could make it work. I put it on. The navy blue skirt was knee length and the white shirt was baggy and really long.

--Look, I know it's uniform and you're not supposed to ruin it. But I can't help it. The uniform is terrible.--

I cut the skirt to a mini skirt size and stitched the ends. I then cut and stitched up the ends of the shirt and tucked it into the skirt. It looks A LOT better now. I walked outside my bedroom door where my brother was waiting to see what it looked like. He had a shocked look on his face. "What did you do?!" He said in a worried voice. "I fixed it." I replied.
"Dude, you're gonna get in so much trouble."
"I'm new, I'm not going to get in trouble."
"Wanna bet?"
"No... But, it'll be okay, it's not like everyone actually wears the uniform the way it was."
"Actually, April, yeah people do."
"Well then I'm the first not to."

--Yes, I could've handled that better, but he's okay with it, I think. Hopefully I don't get into trouble. Hopefully the school's not strict.--

I got told to go to bed at ten o'clock. "You have school tomorrow." Said Flynn. I stared at him. "What!?" I said back with my most serious voice I could pull.
"Yes. School, now go to sleep."
"Okay..."
"Goodnight." Flynn said as he came up to me and hugged me. "Everything will be okay, I promise." He whispered as I was hugging him. I started tearing up again as I thought of mum and dad.
I went to bed and lied down. I stared at the ceiling. Tears rolling from my face. I really hope things are okay tomorrow.
