I walked to the restaurant that morning with Hitomi and Chikako. When we were just about to reach the shop, we saw an enormous crowd chatting and huddling around our restaurant.
"You don't think they're waiting for the restaurant to open, do you?" Chikako asked innocently. I shook my head.
"There's no way." I replied. I pushed through the crowd to the door. As I began to put the key in, loud cheers erupted from the crowd.
"Finally!" And "I'm starving!" Were heard from the crowd. Once the three of us were in, the large group of people rushed in through the small door, the newly added bell rang mercilessly. As I put on my apron, there was clapping and laughing. I blinked a few times, trying to understand why everyone was so excited to come here. Many people jumped into available seats and tables. Hitomi slapped down menus at the bar while Chikako did the same at tables. I pulled out cups and filled them according to my sisters' shouts.
"I'm so glad Aiko's Fish is back!" A boy with big, brown eyes commented as I slid him his glass.
"Why's that?" I asked quickly. I reached for the radio and flipped the switch on the back.
"Because this is my favorite restaurant ever! The food's great, you're super nice and beautiful, and I always leave with a smile on my face."
"So true." A random man called. The music from the radio began. Hitomi requested a catfish with vegetables and a lemon on the side. I smiled as I turned on my grill. 'This was my native habitat.' My thoughts made me laugh.
While I was serving the customers, I noticed something weird on the radio. The station kept talking about Mizuki Tell, a famous singer who lived in the Leaf Village. They kept talking about how amazing her voice range was for just a teenager. When I asked one of the customers about her, they said that she had become really popular in the Leaf just when the restaurant closed. I didn't think much of the girl until I heard her voice...
~"Lada, da. Da. Da. MaLada. Da. Da. MaLadadada. Daa." Six sang as she scrubbed the wall.
"What are you doing with your voice?" I asked her. She turned to me. Her blonde hair flew as she turned. The black ends made her hair appear to sparkle.
"I do not know. I always dream about someone making that noise...I like it, Eighteen." Her black eyes seemed so large at the time.
"You should not make that noise; Ryo-sensei would not approve."
"I will try to hide it." Six replied, quietly.~
I prioritized going to her concert tonight. I had heard a woman talking about it starting at eleven o'clock. The restaurant closes at nine o'clock, so there should be plenty of time to sneak out and check it out.
After we had closed the restaurant and washed it up, I put my sisters to sleep in their room, waited for them to fall asleep, and then proceeded to leave the house. Hitomi and Chikako are already having a hard time adjusting to this new place. I couldn't possibly make them worry about this. This is my responsibility, not theirs. The woman had said that it would be at Sonamaki. Sonamaki was about half a mile from my apartment. I sped walk there and arrived in no time.
There were bright, neon lights and screaming crowds everywhere. I saw a huge line of people buying tickets from a stand. The backstage was just in sight. I snuck to the door, hiding in the shadows. The moment I opened the door, a tall, muscular man leapt forward and tried to push me backwards. I grabbed his elbows before he had a chance and flipped him over with a powerful push. He landed face first on the cement. I quickly pulled off his backstage pass that hung around his neck and put it on.
