Silver's POV
I rode to where Shadow said to meet him. I dismounted Flame and let him roam around. I didn't see Shadow though. Where could he be?
"Shadow?" I asked looking around. I felt a hand touch my shoulder. "Ah!" I gasped.
"Hey calm down. It's me. I watched you ride over here. Like I said before, I see and hear everything that happens in these woods." He stated.
"Just, don't sneak up on me like that okay?" I told him. He nodded. "So, care to show me around these woods?" I asked him.
"Yeah, come on." He said, guiding me.
Narrator's POV
As the months passed and seasons shed, Prince Silver and Shadow became closer and closer.
Amy had been noticing Shadow sneaking out more than usual and daydream while she talked to him. He usually paid more attention to her. She even notice that he was always rushed to get out of the castle and was always in a good mood when he came back. She knew something was going on, but just couldn't find out...she was gonna have to wait.
On the other hand, Prince Silver had been developing feelings for the stranger he had met a few months back. They had been meeting everyday, at the same time, at the same spot everyday.
But there was a dark secret Shadow hadn't revealed to Prince Silver...that he too was a Prince.
Shadow had been wanting to tell Silver, but just doesn't want to tell him. Silver and him had shared so many secrets, and this secret had been kept for a long time. Silver just knew Shadow as Shadow, never as Prince Shadow.
"I promise I'll come visit you tomorrow..." Shadow said holding both of Silver's hands, then kissing his right hand, bowing. Silver always loved that part of the day.
"Okay, but please don't be late..." Silver stated as Shadow had been late the last couple of times, due to Amy always asking questions.
"I won't...I promise." Shadow said soon walking into the bushes. Silver mounted Flame and rode away.
Shadow's POV
I climbed in through my window and put my things away. I opened the door to my chamber.
"Greetings..."
"GAH!" I jumped back. I realized Amy was leaning against the doorway. "Don't do that. I could have died."
"Sorry... So where'd you go to this time?" She asked.
"The woods..."
"Where in the woods?"
"Hey, what's with all the questions? You seem to ask me so many, that sometimes I wish I could get the wizard to seal your lips." I laughed.
"That's not funny." Amy crossed her arms.
"It's a little funny." I chuckled.
"I'm serious... Where have you been going? Why always sneaking out? Who have you been meeting?" She asked.
"Why all the questions?"
"Why all the secrets?" She asked. I sighed. "We used to share everything. Tell each other everything. We were friends, the best of friends. Now, I'm not sure if you're even my friend..."
"Amy..." I put a hand on her shoulder.
"Do you trust me?""Yes, but-"
"Then you know that's not important right now." I said looking into her eyes. Geez, I get it... We used to be tight, but I've been getting sidetracked by that wonderful silky voice who belonged to a silver furred hedgehog lately, that I've even forgotten about watching over the forest.
